"A fantastic night at a nature-friendly pension in Portugal"

10.0

It was a quiet and wonderful pension-like hotel. The pool, though not too small, was available for use at any time. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We were also able to use the barbecue facilities if we wanted. Our family enjoyed a wonderful dinner using the shared kitchen. The staff were also very friendly.

For second-floor accommodations, access is via stairs. There's no elevator, so you'll need to carry your luggage upstairs yourself. For access to nearby historic sites or downtown, Uber is more convenient than public transportation.

A little slice of paradise! The old converted farmhouse is beautiful and charming. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the room huge by any standard especially for Europe. Beautiful pool and fruit and flower trees everywhere! Two very sweet but large dogs, so keep that in mind if tou are afraid of dogs. My eight-year-old and four-year-old loved them. You need a car here as everything is a 5 minute drive away including the train. The host was for than helpful and accommodating, helping you plan your visit, providing train tickets etc. We loved our stay here and plan on being back.

"Lovely, Relaxing Family Stay"

10.0

We enjoyed our stay very much; our room was one of the largest we've ever stayed in, very clean and with such comfortable beds, the property is also on lovely grounds. The children enjoyed playing in the salt water pool situated right outside our room, and our wonderful host Maria even dug out some floaties for them to use in there. Maria goes out of her way to make you feel at home, assisting with travel (taxi/ train) and restaurant information, and is always on hand to help with anything else you need during your stay. We will definitely stay again.

"Rustic stay in a remote area"

8.0

This place is very hidden, the only way to get there is by car. If you go by taxi, you really are stranded. The family renovated an old building, with a lot of history. Great work, very impressive, I loved the old furniture and decor. The house ids in a floodplain, the place has a musty smell, which contributes to the originality, but might annoy some people. The host, Maria is absolutely lovely, we had a great chat about the history of the place. The breakfast was modest, but it had everything you might want. Very clean.

The old building and furniture has a bit of dated smell, though the whole place is freshly renovated.
