I really liked my stay here. Staff were very serviceminded, nothing was impossible and attitude always smiling and helpful. Location is good, just some 8-10 minutes walk to the beach, and supermarket, rental of scooters and laundry service are very close. Good food from the little restaurant in the reception, and cheap as well. Good size of rooms, good cleaning. Didn't use the kitchenette, but it is located outside so you can actually sit and eat "open air" . Alway situated close to a road, I didn't notice any noise - only the rooster which sometimes is to be heard from the laundry service in front of the hotel (not something that is negative). Little pool on the rooftop which is not the biggest, but does the trick.Will warmly recommend this hotel - only little drawback was some outage on the wifi in the room, but the staff was also here always ready to assist.

traveling with my wife and our 2 sons aged 3 and 6. booked through booking on the morning of our arrival for a change of area for our last few days, of a 30 day trip round the Andaman coast. The room smelt and was covered in mold and the bedding was wet, we changed to another room which was the same. I explained the situation to the staffeta and that it was unsafe to sleep in a wet moldy room and then they changed their attitude and refused to refund me my money for the stay. they even checked the staff and agreed but still refused to refund me. out of 12 hotels we stayed in on our travels this was the most expensive and by far the worst quality. booking.com have since emailed them on my behalf 6 times with no reply. do not stay here. not sure why the rooms were so bad, they were on the top floor and both on the same side of the building so many just that area of the roof was damaged but the staffs attitude was so so poor and for a country we love due to the peoples love for life.

We booked the hotel thinking that it is near the beach but it in fact a 10-15 minute uphill/downhill walk with no proper pavements. The staff are friendly and helpful but the hotel is let down by the poor condition of the room. The room/bedsheets had a smell (maybe from mothballs?). The bed was uncomfortable and had a hole in the centre of the bed. You can even feel the bed springs poking into your back. We were informed that there will be a power cut at 9am the next day but were not told of a water cut. We were due to check out that day and i needed a shower in the morning because our flight back was at 10pm. We have to buy gallons of mineral water so that we can take a shower. Nothing that they can do about this, unfortunately, but we were told about the water, we would have woken up much earlier in the morning to have a shower.

Apart from no water pressure at all in shower, It is clean, cozy and comfortable!

Restaurant very good but room disappointing. Only recommendation is the cheap rate.

The staffs are friendly and helpful. Bacolny is fun to have. I love the bench. We love the jacuzzi and steam room too

The staff at Kata Studios are laid back and there are no sales pitches for anything (which is a refreshing change in Thailand). The queen bed in my studio was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever stayed in - both firm yet soft. The balcony kitchen is great if you want to prepare your own food but after sampling the food at the restaurant attached to the Hotel I didn't bother. The Capricorn restaurant was fantastic, fresh, and cheap as chips. The rooftop pool and spa is awesome and if you prefer the beach then it is a ten minute stroll down the hill. I hired a moped from a place a few doors up and was at the beach in 30 seconds. The stay was very relaxing and I wouldn't hesitate to come back here again. Thankyou !
