Kata Beach Studio Phuket

The staff is very enthusiastic. The room is relatively spacious and has a balcony. The geographical location is not near the main street, and it is relatively not so noisy.

The facilities are old, especially the shower. It is difficult to control at a stable temperature. The water is either too cold or too hot. The window of the bathroom can't be completely closed, and it affects rest when the wind is good. There is no light at the top of the room, and it is a little dark at night.

Bed was very hard and the breakfasts was poor.

The beds were comfortable and the location was ideal for us. Cleaners came in daily.

We were placed in a room that was directly next to building works which started at 8:30am and didn’t finish till 9pm. This should have been communicated and the hotel wasn’t full so you would have thought they would have allocated a room away from the noise. We were out all day most days so didn’t impact our stay too much. The swimming pool was dirty and cloudy to the point you couldn't see the bottom and it appeared that the filters weren’t on. We did mention this and they emptied it, refilled but it was still cloudy water. Wifi advertised on the rooftop area but wasn’t on. We had no hot water in our room for the last three days of our stay and when we asked someone to have a look the response was ‘maybe tomorrow’. No water at all one day so couldn’t even flush the toilet Even though we had a ‘kitchenette’ they was no cutlery, crockery or cooking utensils and the hob didn’t work. Breakfast was very very basic and not worth paying for. (One choice of cereal, watermelon, toast but no butter, rice, eggs, small selection of salad and pancakes/waffles - no variation at all for the week and had to ask to bowls for cereal). Towels are very worn, overused and some were so worn they ripped at the edges. Whole place just looks a little rundown and uncared for.

Kata beach studio value hotel nice covered rooftop area and pool,comfortable bed,balcony has a hot plate area if you need to cook and a microwave,bathroom ok and there is safe and some storage area for clothes.Overall a value hotel to stay in Kata with nice restaurants nearby.

I don't understand why this beautiful hotel is not so popular. It's comfortable, renovated, nice pool and bar. People are amazing. I stayed here 3 times. The Kata beach is reachable by foot (15 minutes or so, I suggest using a hidden path on the right side of Boathouse hotel) On the street you will find a lot of domestic restaurants and bars. I suggest having a vending machine on the roof top to have easily beer and an American pool in the restaurant downstairs.

Maybe fixing the shower could add more comfort.
