Location and shower

Room smelled like smoke even though it was supposed to be a non smoking room. Welcome mat was filthy. Room was not very clean; dirt in corners of the room and the floor was filthy, probably from the welcome mat. We were told our room was ready at 2:45, but if we wanted to check in at that time it would have cost us $35! For 15 minutes! So we waited outside in our car. The other man who checked us in was nicer and more friendly. Room was never freshened up while we were there. Bed not made, no fresh towels, etc.
