Old Village Apartamentos Ov International

Complex was very pleasant and the bars and restaurants were varied with something for everyone. Studio apt. was fine but could have had new towels more frequently. They were not changed all week. Pool rules were not kept to!!!! There were few sun loungers and shaded so if you wanted 1 for the day you had to arrive at the pool before 9am and book a lounger with your towel. This was against the written rules but it was what everyone did so much of the time the beds were occupied only by towels and late arrivers had to use the grass and had no shade. This was very unfair but complaints were ignored. There was plenty of room for more beds and sun shades. This was the only down side to the complex. The facilities as a whole were very good and staff helpful.

The whole village is lovely . Great restaurant, bar and pool facilities so you have no need to leave the site if you choose not to. That said, we found it was only a ten minute walk (at a fair pace) to reach the marina area of vilamoura. The staff at all the sites facilities were friendly and helpful in particular, Carlos who is manager of the village cafe and joint owner of the up market Princess Garden restaurant. Fully recommend you try the signature 'steak on the stone" at princess garden. Will be back again!

A lovely resort. The grounds were beautifully kept and the bars and restaurants were very nice but the actual apartment was badly in need of refurbishment. Stained soft furnishings and faulty bathroom lock. But for the price good value and within walking distance to Vilamoura - and a bit further to Quarteira. We were there 3 nights but the apartment was not cleaned.

Great apartment and the staff in the village made you feel very welcome. The food in the on site restaurant was great and ideal if you didn't want to walk down to the marina, or if you are feeling lazy vetting a taxi for €4

Old village on viehättävä viktoriaaniseen (?) tyyliin rakennettu lomakylä, joka lienee 60-luvun lopulta ja on varmaan silloin ollut superhieno. Huoneistoja on monenmoisia, ne ovat yksityisten omistamia ja vuokrattavissa. Ilmeisesti huoneistojen taso voi vaihdella paljonkin. Omamme oli kahden makuuhuoneen ja kahden kerroksen plus kattoterassin huoneisto. Huoneistossa oli kyllä viehättävä tunnelma, mutta tarkemmin katsoen kaikki oli remontin tarpeessa. Kaksi viikkoa kului siinä kuitenkin mukavasti. Kattoterassilla saattoi nauttia aamiaista ja illallista tai ottaa aurinkoa kuten myös alueen kolmella uima-altaalla. Ulkoalueet ovat viehättävät ja hyvin hoidetut. Ravintoloita alueella riittää vaikka viikoksi, muutamassa kävimme, mutta varsinaista kulinarismia siellä ei voi harjoittaa. Oma pieni supermerkado tarjoaa hyvät valikoimat myös omien aterioitten tekoon. Iso miinus on WiFin puute samoin maksu käteisellä. Siivouksessa olisi parantamisen varaa. Alueella on useita välittäjiä, jotka tarjoavat edullisia kuukausipaketteja talviajaksi. Sijainti on hyvä lähellä Vilamouran keskustaa ja rantaa sekä golfkenttiä. Toimistosta saa hieman edullisempiä golfkierroksia alueen hienoille, mutta kalliille kentille. Kaiken kaikkiaan mukava tuttavuus tämä Old village.

Loved vilamoura a few years ago and managed to find a deal at the old village! By far the nicest area I've ever stayed in, beautiful location with gardeners tending to the area all the time! Great stay in a beautiful location! I cannot fault the staff who are so accommodating and welcoming. Loved the pool areas and ate two beautiful meals in the village. Marina is a gorgeous place for a meal and evening stroll! Perfect for couples, families or friends wanting to chill out!

Initially we had been assigned a dreadfully depressing apartment. We made vigorous representation's to the Management who very kindly organised an alternative which was delightful!
