The Old Black Horse Inn

It is very close to the city center and the Old market as well as close to a shopping street and groceries.

It was too cold /about 13C/ in the rooms nevertheless the heating system.

Location was very good. Ok bed and nice towels.

It’s an old property with wonky quirky stairs and rooms. windows in our room were not double glazed making every noise out side quite disturbing. No food is available a lack of choices behind the bar, big TV’s

The Location was perfect

To noisy from the main road , narrow staircase difficult to manage with a suitcase , back entrance looked like a building site, front entrance was ok not great .

Bar and hotel seemed to Close at around 6.30 pm no one from staff on site after that

Good location for dining out, or walking into the Centre.

Smooth check in. Period room was cute. thats about it really.

The council need to fix the collapsed road work directly outside. Every time a bus went over it (about one every minute) the whole building shook and doors rattled. The decor of the pub is soulless - it should be a crime to treat such a beautiful old building like that. The decor upstairs is tired and very, very out of character with the building.
