Carn Mhor Bed and Breakfast

Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. We didn't have the breakfast, but it looked very good. Was a bit outside the city center, but was still a doable walk to the restaurant and pub area.

The room was a bit stuffy in the summer (June). Left the window open for just a little air and coolness (luckily no midges). Could have used a fan. Unfortunately found it in the closet when we were leaving. So, it was there, and was our fault for not taking advantage.

Adrian was an excellent host and helped our group check in late after being stuck in traffic. Highly recommend having breakfast as Adrian is a brilliant cook. We stayed here for a snowboarding weekend and the location of the B&B was perfect for everything. If anyone is looking to stay in Aviemore, this is the place to stay!

Great value for money and the host was very accommodating! Huge breakfast too!

The breakfast was great, it had a lot of options and the price was fair.

One thing that impacted our stay was the weather, but it’s not related to Carn Mhor. When it’s really snowy roads are closed and public transportation is cancelled

Very comfortable room, plenty of space, cosy and well equipped. The breakfasts were excellent and great value at only £10 extra. The ideal way to start off a cold day in the snow! Adrian is very friendly and helpful. The place is nice and quiet even though the A9 is not far away. Nice view of hills and forest from our window.

It would have been nice if our bathroom was en suite rather than downstairs. But it was private (just for our use), was spotlessly clean, warm, and the shower was great. A little fridge would be a plus and somewhere to dry damp clothes would help on wet days. This was not an issue for us because the weather was dry and cold, fortunately.

The room was a good size with plenty of space between beds and lots of little touches like coat hooks, hairdryer, USB sockets everywhere, mirrors with built in lights, a sink, spare pillows etc. There was adequate parking. The view out of the window was really pretty, especially with all of the snow. It is a very quiet spot, very safe for kids.

The bathroom was downstairs, and our room upstairs. There is no communal area like a lounge, so once my kids were sleeping, there was no where for me to go! The host was a little annoyed when I arrived as I was early and apparently I'd booked a triple room only for 2 adults, when I arrived with my 2 young kids he said I'd have to pay more, which felt like a bit odd, as surely booking a triple room implies you might use 3 beds. I was also scorned for booking through booking.com, which was why breakfast wasn't included. I was told if I'd booked direct, I'd have had breakfast included. He told me this in a condescending way, as if I'm supposed to know. The host warmed up after this interaction, but it left a sour taste in my mouth. And I managed to avoid paying the extra for a room I'd already paid for.
