Rodeway Inn & Suites Wilmington North

Normally I don’t have problems but when I stayed there I checked in around 3pm left around 10pm and still haven’t received my refund. my room was infested with roaches. It was unbearable. I had to throw all my clothes and bags away I just can’t take that chance with those type of bugs.

It was cheap

There was a toenail and a thick black substance on the sheets my nephew was sleeping on. The lightbulb in the bathroom didn't work. The staff was rude when we asked for a fresh sheet set and made me pull the strange toenail clipping out of the trash to show her and prove it to her before she would believe me and change the sheets. Horrible experience.

There’s nothing to like about it.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. When I first checked in at the Rodeway Inn, the room was filthy — the walls, door frames, and baseboards were literally deteriorating from mold. It was absolutely deplorable, like it hadn’t been cleaned or maintained in years. The toilet was already clogged before I even used it, and when I flushed, it overflowed and flooded the entire room. When I called the front desk, a staff member came up, stood in the puddle of water, and just stared at me like I was crazy. She didn’t offer towels, didn’t offer a solution, didn’t even suggest another room. Only after I specifically asked, “Can I get another room?” did she respond with, “You want another room?” As if leaving me to sleep in toilet water was somehow acceptable. The second room they moved me to was just as bad — it didn’t even have a TV on the wall, even though they gave me a remote. The third room wasn’t any better, but at that point it was too late at night to try booking somewhere else, so I was stuck. And through all of this, staff acted like I was the problem instead of addressing how unacceptable the conditions were. They even accused me of smoking (I don’t smoke) and told the person I was with that he couldn’t have his shirt off in the parking lot. In a beach town, no less. Let’s not even mention the wide range of questionable individuals the staff allows to stay there; drug addicts, prostitute, pimps etc. Do yourself a favor — skip the Rodeway Inn completely. Walk across the street to the Baymont by Wyndham Wilmington. It’s more affordable, way cleaner, and you won’t be treated like an inconvenience for simply expecting a livable room

The king size bed and it was comfortable.

I wish I had taken pictures of what was in the room. The dirty floors, the holes in the bed cover, the lack of outlets as we both use CPAP machines and charging our phones. The lamps had outlets in them but were so wore out the cords would not stay in them. The little refrigerator at night was so noisy we had to unplug it while we slept and plug it back up while we were gone for the day. The shower curtain would not stay in place while you showered so the floor flooded, I had to ask for washcloths. We stayed 3 nights and I'll tell you why. We were traveling through and stayed one night. We went ahead and booked 2 nights for when we came back through as we were meeting family in the area. Hoping we would get a different room and they put us back in the same room. I was so disappointed. Don't let the cheaper price bring you there. It is not worth it.
