The Ohioan Hotel and Event Center

The good: The accommodation were good. The breakfast was great! The service was good overall. But! The bad: It was bit over priced because the room closet space was small. Although they had a hanging section in the sink area. Also the shower was really small. You almost have to climb over the toilet to get out of one end. No microwave. Noisy small refrigerator. The oub is just room with a cash bar. Staff was loud. Some tables had not been wiped clean from the day before. With that said if it were in the $75 range I would return.

The grounds and rooms were very nice. My group and I live in Columbus and wanted to do a quick overnight. This felt like we were out of town in the way it was located, back away from the busyness of the city. Very peaceful and relaxing. The pool inside was smaller than I imagined, but nice overall. During the time we were there, not many people were there, so it worked. The workout room was great! The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, and the staff at breakfast were on it! I am glad we enjoyed our time because I had several issues when booking. Prices kept changing. At the time, I was trying to book two different events, and prices kept changing. It was one price online, another price when we talked, then the online price changed within the time we were talking, then I got an email with a different price quote and was changed again when we talked with apologies of her "making a mistake" explaining that she was going through a lot and don't know why she gave me that price. I ended up canceling my second event for May, but kept my April event. There was also a mix-up when putting us in our rooms. I chose the room that had the separate bed space, which cost more, and made sure to explain, that room was for me. Instead, I ended up in the room I had reserved for the others. I found out one of the guest joined us was put in my room. In the end, my guest and I enjoyed our stay and would consider giving them another.

Very pleasant atmosphere. Very friendly. We had an awesome gathering for the OTA conference. Room was large and very comfortable. Allot of time, money and effort us put into keeping the facilities clean and comfortable. However, for as much as you put into the comfort and cleanliness, the coffee seriously is no good at all. Change your coffee vendor.

Excellent accommodations and food! The front desk staff was very helpful and worked with our check-out time. I look forward to staying there again for next year's conference!

Positive experience. The hotel is not built for old people, but what would have been a very difficult walk for two 86 year olds to the dining room for a wedding reception was avoided when the hotel provided a golf cart and driver. We did make the walk for breakfast next day but took great effort. The only negative is that upon arrival my wife was desperate for a cup of decaf and the in-room coffee maker defied understanding, Over engineered, extremely complicated, and ultimately resulted in bag of grains in the cup. In addition the coffee bags do not say which is decaf

Location worked out well for my plans for the weekend.

The noise level. My room was clean and comfortable but it was near I think the stairs in the middle of the building. I would hear the door and people throughout the day and night. Loud enough it sounded like someone was coming into my room. Unsettling when you are a single female traveler.

Nice place, parking was tough, and there was no onsite food or a place to eat dinner. When I asked the front desk they said the "Pub" was under construction, and there was a makeshift location. He explained where it was, but I found myself wandering around with a bunch of other people who also could not find it. We finally did, I ordered a drink and asked for a food menu and was told there was no food to order. This should have been pointed out on the website and should have been relayed when checking in or making the reservation. I was here for work and after a long day it's nice to be able to sit down and have a meal onsite without having to drive and search for a place. The bartenders at the "Pub" were super nice however. The rooms were very nice, and clean, so that is a positive for sure. They also said the rooms would be cleaned everyday unless we decline that service, which is a nice touch these days. Oh, I tried to check out at around 5:50 AM as I had to catch a flight and there was no one at the front desk for at least 5 minutes or longer. There was just a sign that said we stepped away. I finally just left my room key on the front desk hoping it would be taken care of. A key drop box or online checkout would be handy if this happens a lot.

Hotel is beautiful, room was very comfortable, breakfast was great....but the coffee situation in the room is too complicated. A simple Keurig or coffee pot is recommended.
