Aura Hotel Brooklyn

The Aura Hotel is a clean hotel with nice linens, comfy beds and good amount of space in the double room. It's a great value for the price. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. It's a little far from the subway station and there's some construction nearby. Those were my only complaints. If you don't mind walking or using other transpo, it's a good value.

First time we Aura, it's an amazing hotel, very clean, with elegant lighting. The staff is friendly, a really neat place. If you are visiting NYC, definitely a great location to stay and experience Brooklyn.

Cool spot

The property had such an outdated room. The vanity bowl was broken and damaged. Shower towels were stained and old. Shower curtain had some moulds. No water was provided in the room. I was still asked for giving a good review.

I booked a room at this establishment for my birthday weekend. First of all, there was no soap to shower with and the shampoo was half empty, with hair in the towels and on the one bar of soap that was opened already. And every hour, Manjeet would knock on the door, starting at 8:30pm because apparently, he had a problem with my guests and tried to kick me out of the hotel room at around 11pm and told me his boss told him to kick me out. Yet I wasn’t made to leave. But the people downstairs were loud and rowdy, and partying until about 6am and he didn’t say anything to them. I will never step foot in this establishment again, after how unwelcome the night staff made me and my guests feel.

Needs updating and repairs. Wanted to charge $50/ hour fit early check in. Or run was directly in front of the check in desk si there were loud noises at all hours. Not worth the price. Neighborhood was quiet and safe but far from trains.

There is no parking and had to walk a few blocks in the rain

The lobby and the garden area were beautiful. It was honestly a really nice looking hotel but our room wasn’t as clean as I was expecting based on the reviews. When we pulled back the bed covers we saw a huge strand of hair. Behind the bathroom door there was quite a bit of hair on the wall. The lotion was used and had what may have been makeup stains on it. Our shower/tub had mold in the grout. The window to the balcony was super dirty. On the plus side we had a surprise balcony, and the bed was huge!!!! Again nice place…. I just wish our room was cleaner.

Very spacious room and comfortable beds, the staff were friendly and helpful. There was large wall damage in the bathroom that hadn’t been fixed, but the hotel was clean and I had a nice stay. The card key had to be reactivated daily and I had to use an actual key once because the card key wasn’t working. So that was really inconvenient. But otherwise, I enjoyed my stay.

Liked it! But no parking.
