Everything was perfect, nice and attractive! The staff was very nice too especially Ahmed Ismael at the reception desk and Omar and Ahmed at the swimming pool

The internet service was very weak all the week through! I hope they will improve this service

We stayed at the Savoy Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh from 2nd June until 13th June, and this was our sixth visit — which probably says everything. The hotel continues to be a fantastic place to stay. The food, service and staff are all excellent, and there is a really good choice of places to dine, including several restaurants in Soho Square, which adds a lot to the overall experience. Two of my personal favourites are Le Entrecôte steakhouse, where the Chateaubriand is absolutely superb, and the Teppanyaki restaurant, where we had steak and lobster tails, which were excellent. I could name individual members of staff who went above and beyond, but I have already passed those names on directly to the managers. That said, all of the staff we dealt with were friendly, professional and helpful throughout our stay. The Savoy remains one of our favourite hotels in Sharm, and after six visits we still look forward to coming back.

The Savoy is a lovely looking hotel with an impressive reception area, pool and facilities. The room was lovely with a fantastic sized balcony with a partial Seaview. The bathroom had an excellent walk in shower. A/C was perfect and quiet and beds were very comfortable.

As a regular visitor to Egypt Cairo and Sharm El Sheik I am a experienced in frequenting hotels and apartments in Egypt. I was disappointed with several aspects of this hotel. For me personally the beach was not suitable in terms of swimming as there are protected reefs and strict rules. It is also rather small. You only have a limited area to swim of a jetty which is very deep. This was not suitable for my wife. I appreciate that maybe I didn't research enough in this matter before booking. A life guard shouted at me for swimming in the wrong area. His approach was "hey you can't swim there" he did not introduce himself or explain anything as I was not aware. Kind of embarrassing for me as everyone was staring. The beach bar was badly imagined and no proper seating only high stools and sand everywhere. Food litter was not cleared up. No relaxed sofas. Not somewhere you would feel comfortable staying for very long. The staff service was rather miserable and unfriendly. The drinks are expensive for Egypt and a small can of Stella was 300egp. Far more expensive than on the nile or anywhere I've stayed in Egypt. On check in the receptionist forgot to give us our room key as we sat in the reception bar for nearly an hour waiting. His response was " oh I thought I already gave you the keys" jokingly. The hotel also has a rather complex payment policy if you are not all inclusive. All drinks and food received a 20 percent discount. But only if you pay when you check out. So after my 10 days at this hotel I get to pay my food and drinks tab at checkout. This felt like a trap so that we lose track. Not my preference at all. We also had to present our room number everytime we ordered something. We decided to go out to Soho square for food and drinks in the evening and returned quite late to the reception bar for a night cap. The bar staff weren't very friendly and I felt uncomfortable ordering.

Très mauvaise expérience avec le Savoy Sharm El Sheikh. Avant notre arrivée, j’ai informé à plusieurs reprises l’établissement que nous voyagions avec deux enfants. J’ai reçu des confirmations écrites indiquant que la chambre pouvait accueillir 2 adultes et 2 enfants. J’avais également réservé et payé une nuit supplémentaire afin de pouvoir arriver dans la nuit. Pourtant, à notre arrivée vers 4h du matin avec nos enfants fatigués après le voyage, l’hôtel a refusé de nous héberger sauf contre le paiement d’un supplément de 168 USD pour notre deuxième enfant. Cette condition ne nous avait jamais été communiquée auparavant malgré nos nombreux échanges. Nous nous sommes retrouvés sans solution en pleine nuit et avons dû chercher un autre hôtel en urgence, avec des frais supplémentaires de transport et d’hébergement. Nous n’avons pu obtenir une nouvelle chambre qu’en début d’après-midi, après de longues heures d’attente avec nos enfants. Je regrette profondément cette situation, d’autant plus que nous disposions de confirmations écrites de l’établissement et avions tout fait pour préparer correctement notre arrivée. Je partage cette expérience afin que les futurs voyageurs puissent en tenir compte lors de leur réservation.
