TH La Thuile - Planibel Hotel

Been going here for 13 years now,great location,friendly staff,The restaurant staff are amazing,very willing to help.

Good hotel. No complaints whatesoever. Would recommend the hotel.

Loud music late at night, children running up and down corridors late at night, room walls so thin you could hear toilet flushing next door, bath running etc etc.

There is a disco at this hotel on the 2nd floor, if your room is over this you will not sleep until it closes. Our room was on 4th floor (room 430) and we could hear the music very clearly. Our friends had a room on the 3rd floor over the restaurant (not the one you have breakfast in) and they couldn't hear the music. throughout the night there were people making noise in the corridors and party's in other rooms until about 5am on both 3rd and 4th floors. Don't expect to request a particular room as we had emailed the hotel in advance to change the size of one of the rooms but they did not respond to the email. I would suggest if you need your sleep don't stay here (we spoke to the hotel and they did not do anything), if you don't sleep, you probably can save money by not staying there at all. Ironically the information in the room asks guests to respect the rest periods in the afternoon and night time, they just don't do anything to reinforce this.

on arrival at the hotel we were made to feel very welcome. We booked a suite which gave us extra room to relax in after a day on the slopes and also an upgrade to dine in the a la carte 'la raclette' restaurant although we also chose to dine in the buffet restaurant which was actually very good and much better than expected. the location was superb with a 50m walk across to the lifts. après ski is rather tame but if its the skiing you go for then this hotel and this resort is excellent value for money. just be aware of the long poma being the only way home from La rosiere.

Perfect location and very clean room with the food being average to acceptable. On the negative side, barmen attempted 3 times in 2 days to sell an "equivalent" wine at more than double the cost of original fine wine (Brunello Di Montalcino) which ran out after one bottle!

Great location at the bottom of the ski slopes, hardly any walking! Easy access to great skiing, quiet slopes. Lockers in the boot room for easy storage. Rooms comfortable and clean. (1 negative - only one thin pillow per guest led to several bad necks!) Evening meal buffet meant that you could eat as much as you wanted, good choice, 4 courses, plenty of pasta for the fussy ones. Get in before 8 as they start clearing away before 9. Bar not very convivial but all in all would go back.

The hotel is perfect for us. We are a group of 11 adults and 3 children and all of our needs were catered for. Its right at the bottom of the slopes so you can ski to about 20 metres from the door. The food is very varied so even the children were happy. The amount of skiing available here is unbelievable. We have only been home a few days and are already looking to book for next year.

Excellent location, large rooms, great food. Bathroom with a funny smell, staff do not speak or understand English. Overall a very good value for money.
