"Quiet, clean, friendly"

8.0

I am a medical worker and have been staying at La Posada from time to time since Alex built the place. I was there again this month. La Posada continues to be a quiet, clean and very friendly place. It is not like most hotels in that it is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood. There is a large, modern shopping mall about 5 blocks away and an excellent restaurant even closer. The staff speaks very little English, but they are extraordinarily friendly, helpful and efficient. The place is spotless. There are cold drinks available in the fridge. The breakfast is good. Cabs get called on time. Its just a very relaxing place in a very busy town. If you are looking for bright lights and action, you might look elsewhere, but if you would like a safe, clean and quiet place to kick back and listen to the birds chirp, La Posada is a good deal.

"Excellence year after year"

10.0

I have been staying in La Posada B&B for the 4th year in a row, usually in transit to the Bay Islands. I am glad to have a reliable and safe place to be in San Pedro Sula during my travels. The place is clean and has a nice pool to cool off in during a hot day in San Pedro. The owner, Alex, is very efficient in booking me in and arranging transport to the airport. His English is very good which makes things much easier. I am always happy to see Oscar, the driver, who is very personable, always waiting for our arrival patiently no matter what the wee hour. He also provides tours to Copan Ruinas, Guatemala, ferry to one of the Bay islands in La Ceiba or wherever your heart desires. Overall I have always been satisfied with the accommodation and services provided.

The neighborhood is great, safe and near many stores (markets, mall, fast food options, etc). The hotel is simple but good.

"Rustic, but What a Simple Traveler Needs"

8.0

While not a hotel, and I wasn't a fan of the breakfast, the people there are friendly and the rooms are comfortable. It is also located near a mall, and the street is locked away safely.

"Making life easier when going to San Pedro Sula"

10.0

La Posada is not your average B&B, they are helpful, friendly and are willing to spend their time and energy to be sure you find what you are looking for and get it. I was in hospital once and no one spoke English, even though I wouldn't be staying at his place till I was out, he came to be sure I was alright and the staff took the proper care of me. I have stayed there nearly a dozen times and recommend it to anyone going to San Pedro.

"Friendly, clean, secure"

8.0

I am a medical aid worker and have now stayed at La Posada several times over the last 2 years, in fact since Alex was building the place. I just returned from Honduras again this week. La Posada continues to be a friendly, clean, and secure place to stay in SPS. It is not a luxury or business hotel. It is a converted old home with a small swimming pool and yard. Between the house and addition, I think there are about 12 rooms. The place is extremely clean and quite quiet. Alex and his crew are very friendly and helpful. (the staff doesn't speak alot of English, but they surely try hard. Alex is fluent.) The rooms are air conditioned. There is reliable hot water, good internet, filtered water in the kitchen and even some cold pop and cervesa in the frig. The price includes an nice breakfast you can eat indoors or outside by the pool. The neighborhood is quiet residential. There is a good local restaurant, Las Costillas, a couple blocks away and an enormous shopping mall about six blocks away with several banks, cell phone stores and fast food outlets. Alex will help with rides, directions and travel advice. I can't really think of a good reason to stay at fancy hotel in the noisy downtown district when for less money you can stay in what amounts to a home.

"Exceptional"

10.0

Manager fantastic.and speaks excellent English. We actually booked the wrong night (!!!) and both the receptionist and the manager were charming and simply moved the booking to a day earlier. We had pre-paid on a no-cancellation basis and they said of course we didnt need to pay any more - a room was available so naturally it would be sorted. Very impressed. Doesn't quite get 5 stars as the location was not known by our taxi driver, but then it is a small B and B and we found it OK by asking. Area felt safe. Would definately stay there again and recommend it.

"Great and very friendly service"

10.0

This B&B has one of the nicest and most helpful owners I have met on my travels. There was no question we couldn't get an answer to and we could hang out at the B&B the whole day after we'd checked out, waiting for our night flight. Also the staff was very friendly and all the facilities where very good.

"Excellent stay at La Posada B&B"

10.0

Alex, the B&B owner, did everything he could to guarantee us a good stay. He even drove us to the Coca Cola sign, walked with us up to the sign and dropped us in downtown after the walk. The room is old but very clean, breakfast is served hot and yummy, purified water is provided to hotel guests free of charge. The B&B even offered free taxi to the bus station on the day we left San Pedro Sula. Would highly recommend La Posada to my friends and definitely will be back. Thanks lots Alex.
