Unique old houses that has been transformed as guest room. Could be more modern inside especially bathroom. Shower was terrible and room was too hot to stay in during the day. Air conditioner was not able to keep it cool.

It’s a unique experience to stay in an antique Malaysian home brought into 21st century comfort. Staff here are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. The food in the restaurant is the best we had on the island & the restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere. This is a really special place & if you want to get away from impersonal, standard hotel environments this is the place for you. We stayed in Black Coral & the room was beautifully furnished, stylish & comfortable.

This wasn’t our first time at Bonton. But it was even better than we remembered. The villas were very clean and oh so comfortable. Mosquitoes can be a nuisance, but the resort provides “combat” kits and all beds are netted. We would come back again!

Really enjoyed my stay! I was upgraded to the eco cabin. The breakfast wasn’t great but lots of nice places locally to eat and hang out

Sham, the staff at reception was excellent!! Five stars to him for being helpful, accommodating, pleasant, and above all; patient! Overall we had a wonderful stay. Fab place for a bit of Malaysian culture, food was good, the ambiance was lovely and it was cat heaven!

We loved the Bon Ton. All the rooms are separate houses in the grounds. All on stilts. The staff would prepare the room for the evening by plugging in mosquito deterrents and spraying. They also left breakfast in the fridge. It’s a delightful hotel where all the staff are super nice and friendly. Wi-fi doesn’t seem to reach the bedrooms. The hotel supports the dog and cat sanctuary next door. There are quite a lot of cats around which we loved but may not be for everyone . It’s located a bit of a walk from the beach but we got Grabb taxis and it was £1.50 for a ride. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to go back.
