Boardhouse

Ruime kamers. Schoon. Heerlijke bedden! Op loopafstand (circa 15 minuten) van het oude centrum en toch gratis parkeren voor de deur. Voor sommige mensen misschien net wat te ver. Wij vonden het prima.

My party of four travelled to Belgium from Aberdeen and stayed in two rooms at the Boardhouse in Leuven as our base for the 2014 Rock Werchter festival. The hotel location is in a pleasant suburb called Heverlee, which has numerous shops, cafes and pubs close by and is a five minute walk from its own railway platform, just one stop away from Leuven Central. There are also frequent buses into the town centre, which is alternatively a 30 minute walk through suburban Heverlee and the lovely university quarters into the splendid centre. We got back to Leuven most nights from the festival around midnight and either took taxis back to the residence or walked through the streets which were always quite busy and felt very safe. The lodgings themselves (which are more centrally located in Heverlee, five minutes’ walk from the hotel reception & main building) were a delight to get back to, especially on the days that were rainy. Our rooms were spacious and clean, and although we didn’t use the cooking facilities in the rooms, I did use the free washing machine and dryer in the basement – very convenient once the festival site became muddy. The hotel management and staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpful, and our entire experience in Leuven was really pleasant. The Festival was a huge success, and having the Boardhouse and Heverlee as our home from home really added to the whole experience. Book early for Rock Werchter 2015!

Fijn modern hotel. Helaas wel wat opstart problemen met een stinkende afvoer en niet functionerend kluisje. Netjes opgelost met een andere kamer en gratis ontbijt. Hotel staat net buiten het centrum maar met de gratis fietsen ben je overal zo. De fietsen hebben wel achterstallig onderhoud. Ik kwam er in het donker achter dat ik geen koplamp had. Verder waren de banden plat en hingen er allerlei dingen los. De twee kamers die wij hebben gezien konden niet volledig verduisterd worden.

Kamers en hotel waren heel netjes en van deze tijd. Ontbijt was ruim voldoende voor een normale prijs. Bediening was zeer collant en heel beleefd. Een echte aanrader

Great location if you have business at the university. However, the picture posted on hotel.com (the reason I chose this location) was not actually a picute of the hotel, at least the location where my room was located. The room was great, though. The buffet was not worth the money.

Netjes en verzorgd. Aardig personeel. Gratis leenfietsen en parkeren. Wij waren hier als tussenstoppers, maar even Leuven in geweest. Een weekend waard! Mooi en gezellig. Hotel ligt op 8 min fietsen van centrum. Goed te doen. Tip: Neem geen kamer 16 met jonge kinderen. Deze grenst aan luidruchtig restaurant en muur draagt geluid zeer goed over. Totaal: prima prijs /kwaliteit!

I was in the Boardhouse for a business trip. The hotel is nice, free parking next to the hotel and some restaurants around 10 minutes away. The Hotel also have a restaurant next to it which is really great! The only point which was negative was the noise coming from the floor - no way to sleep until everybody was out of the floor.
