Fantastic location to experience the Amazonian forest in a safe environment. Let’s be clear: keeping such a hotel working in a national park demands lots of logistics (they’re not even allowed to do laundry on site , everything linen and food is transported on boats and then by hand!). Their team works like crazy to keep this experience great and they can be proud. Of course it’s not a traditional 5* and the insect experience could be rough to some but you can’t imagine anything better in such a remote location. Truly a memorable experience, knowledgeable and welcoming guides. This is one trip we’ll always remember.

Buffet style food was expectational and delicious. We eat mostly plant-based food and the staff had plenty of options! Times of service varied occasionally depending on each day's schedule, so just make sure to take note of that and you'll be in good shape. The guides are knowledgeable and friendly. They will adjust to your abilities and individual needs. Bring extra light-weight wicking clothing (pants and long sleeves) and plenty of bug spray. We saw an abundance of beautiful and potentially poisonous flora and fauna, but never felt unsafe. The bar was a special treat at the end of a long day of hiking and exploring!

The rooms and bathrooms are open air (thin walls and huge windows with no glass/screens, so you hear everything going on in the rooms and bathrooms around you. It's not a big deal for us, but you should know this going in. The guests around us were considerate and noise was at a minimum. The experience that Tambopata offers is truly amazing, but it's also intense. My advice is to adjust your expectations and have an open mind. If you're looking for 5 star accommodations here, you're missing the point.

It’s a beautiful property far from everything. A perfect place to see birds, especially Macaws, monkeys and butterflies. The food is mediocre, eatable but not what you would expect at this price.

It was unbearably hot. There is no air conditioning, no way to cool off. We understand the desire to preserve nature but the lack of facilities for cooling down negatively impacted our stay. We have been to many nature spots in Africa, Asia, India and Latin America but we’ve never been this uncomfortable and given the price, it did not meet our expectations.

The property is one of a kind located in the heart of the Amazon forest. Spacious rooms, fresh & delicious food, lovely tours and fantastic staff! Special shout out to Louis, the bartender, for his unique cocktails and tips on travel in Peru. Wifi is good in the main areas as well, so you are connected.

Power cuts in the night meant no ceiling fan, which made sleeping in the humid jungle difficult. They should reconsider the timings. Also the location of the ceiling fan is not ideal. A standing fan would be much better

Fascinating experience. We were assigned a guide Savon, who grew up in the area and was a certified tour guide. He created our itineraries for each day. With his help, we saw all kinds of animals in the jungle, and took pictures through his man ocular. The night tour was most fascinating. There are so many unusual insects!  Thank you Savon! We also liked at the pace, wasn't too intense, and there was plenty of time to relax. Food was very good. All three meals. Much more food than we needed. I appreciated the coffee being available early .  The property is beautifully furnished and designed. With local woods. Very comfortable. Enjoy the hammocks.. Had a massage that was exquisite. This is an experience. That's worth every penny!

Not one thing ! I even liked the bat that I got stuck flying around my room ! Enjoyed hearing the howler monkeys early in the morning. And the macaws swooping in through the dining room.  I had no problems with mosquitoes!

Additional costs to pay for stay, visa took 5% of cost. Mandatory gratuity taken/ included in price 10%. I prefer to pay to staff a stay, not in cost of staying.

Great views and great food.

Rooms could have been cleaned better especially because so many bugs come in.
