Lovely cosy bar with a log fire

Location was great to get into Hay, room and other areas were very clean, food was excellent and bed was comfortable. Staff were very polite & friendly. Room had a leak in the ceiling before we arrived and manager emailed to let us know & provided a couple of options to consider- a different room or a discount.

TV in room could have been positioned differently as could not see it due to large bedstead. Wasn’t an issue for me as didn’t need to watch tv, but other guests might want to.

A+++ Probably the best hotel experience we two octogenarians have had. Charm, comfort, quality, attention to detail, this hotel ticks all the boxes and more. Craig and Freddie deserve every success. Just brilliant!

The atmosphere. It’s still a real pub.

The food and service were superb. The staff were professional and welcoming. It's clear that Craig and his team are working to further improve this hotel and I am looking forward to visiting again.

Welcoming, friendly staff, beautiful old inn with the most comfortable bed imaginable, and incredible food-breakfast and dinner were fabulous.

No complaints.
