We loved our stay at Athelstane House. The breakfast was great and the bed was comfortable. The manager was very helpful and thoughtful. Willing to help us in anyway she could. It was a nice relaxing stay in a beautiful spot.

A special place. We enjoyed our comfortable room with private deck, and a generous breakfast is included. Parking is easy and the house is walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go in the town.

"Clean and Peaceful Stay"

We’ve stayed a couple of times at Athelstane House and always have a nice time. It’s very quiet and clean. A little bit pricey for the size of the room and amenities, however we had a lovely stay. Breakfast is included in the stay which is really nice. We had soy flat whites, juice and porridge. I would love to see another vegan option included like a tofu scramble or maybe something savoury like beans or mushrooms and toast, etc, but we really appreciate the porridge, juice and coffee regardless. Will definitely return! :)

Lovely old property with real character and charm. The only issue we had was they said there was a DVD player in the room but there wasn't.
