Lift only 1 working. Night mare!

The hotel is well placed and the staff are great. It’s pretty cool looking and I have stayed here twice before and it’s a great location.

The place is looking shabby and needs a facelift in my opinion. The rooms are worn now, as are the facilities in the room. The tablet for controlling the room is hit and miss. It works for some things but not for others. Lights were fine but the aircon and TV were buggy on the tablet. Also it’s scuffed, scratched and has hairline cracks so could do with a refresh. The TV just kept cutting out when we were there, so we ended up not watching it beyond the Chromecast facility. The aircon temperature doesn’t go below 18degrees for some reason so during a heatwave like this week, or if like me you like it slightly cooler, it’s a bit warm. There are two lifts for the whole hotel. One was out of action for our full three days there which put massive pressure on the other lift. Add on to that the fact the staff were using the customer lift for cleaning and moving stuff around, it took on average 20minutes plus to get from the lobby to your room. We were not on a high floor.

I thought it was awesome to have the option to store our bags for a day after we had to check out and there’s also a very comfortable lounge upstairs with computers to do work or just sit and chat next to the bar!

Staff were friendly and helpful.Liked the iPad and tech.Loved the blackout curtains plus blinds. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.Great shower.Great location.

Not a fan of the bed,it was comfortable but way too large and high.I am quite tall, around 5ft 8,and have no mobility issues and had difficulty getting into and out of bed..A smaller bed would have been much more practical and allow better use of the space and to allow access in any emergency situation. Didn't like the handbasin being in the bedroom plus socket so near the handbasin .I also don't see why having a kettle would be a safety risk as just about every hotel and B+B in the UK have this in place.

Perfect location for city event. Great facilities and cool, quirky design.

Overpriced

Nice spacious room and big bed

Air conditioning didn't work so had to get a fan brought up to the room and the TV wouldn't work for more than 5 mins at a time and then would just turn off and not load any channels
