Britannia Inn Hotel

room was small. no fridge or microwave oven.

Location was in Ilford, does have parking on site (if you can find a space), does have breakfast for a small fee but wasn’t offered it until we asked about it. This is about park hotel as we were shifted from Britannia to park hotel.

Hotel was not even Britannia Inn. When we got to the hotel we were told to drive to Park hotel which is their sister hotel. A hotel we have been shifted to when we previously booked Cranbrook hotel. When we got to Park hotel our two rooms were very far from each other meaning they were in separate buildings altogether. She the receptionist took us to one of the rooms it was felt as if I was in an American movie (not in a good way) more like the hood. Where you get metal staircases to get from one room to another of a motel and rough looking people loitering on the steps smoking. Felt very sketchy and intimidating. My 4 children slept in one building and us parents in another. An absolute shambles. They said because it was short notice which is why we had rooms far from each other. We booked back in February for May! It was so confusing getting from one building to another. The unclear signs and and the hundreds of stairs and metal corridors. Felt like the crystal maze (without the treasure) The quad room was like a sauna. When requested a fan, They did provide a fan for one room which barely did nothing but better than nothing. We asked for pillows as the pillows were so flat you may as well have your head on the mattress. However they didn’t provide and extra pillows. Mattresses were very springy and need replacing. No iron or iron board. Fire alarm went of twice in the night and my poor kids frightened dragged each other from their beds half asleep. Horrible experience. Need to facilitate families better.
