"Travelling in Chile"

10.0

Excellent stay the staff went out of their way to be helpful and very friendly they even gave us a phone charger when ours failed to fit - nothing was too much trouble. We wished we had stayed longer to explore Santiago further. Highly recommended from someone who never writes reviews.

"A highly recommended oasis in the prettiest street in Santiago"

10.0

The hotel is located in what could be the prettiest street in Santiago - despite being close to all sorts of amenities - airport (15-20 minutes), underground, local bus network, city sites (gondola and public parks), local shops and shopping malls, banks and good restaurants and nightlife - it is quiet and serene with a beautiful garden courtyard for breakfast where lots of birds sing as you eat. We were in Chile for almost 2 months - Chile is very centralised to move around from one location to another eg Chiloe, Atacama, Easter Island, Patagonia and we used Le Reve as our home from home - using it every time we passed through Santiago. All the staff welcomed us as old friends and they looked after us despite some travelling challenges due to the weather meaning that we arrived late at night or early in the morning- they even gave a coffee to a driver who came to pick us up when we weren't finished with the packing and running a little late. Their kindness and hospitality was lovely. The rooms were very clean, with very comfortable beds and good showers. It is not too big so there were always guests to talk to and enjoy a passing glass of wine with. Cannot recommend the atmosphere and kindness of this oasis enough.

"Delightful base for exploring Santiago and for starting visit to Chile"

The hotel was very welcoming and felt like home from home. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Helpful staff and wonderful self service facilities. I particularly liked their emphasis on reusable bottles and access to unlimited drinking water. Breakfast in the garden was heavenly.

"Absolutely charming hotel"

10.0

What an absolutely charming hotel. We had a garden large room which had all the amenities we would want. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a good sized shower. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice. The staff were very helpful, particularly the reception staff who helped with a couple of problems we had. I would high recommend this hotel.

"Boutique hotel in nice location"

8.0

This is a pleasant hotel in a great location with plenty of lovely restaurants and easy to access the centre via Uber. The hotel itself is dated and as a small boutique hotel obviously cannot offer a gym or swimming pool etc as larger hotels might. It seems to be popular with travel group/companies from the UK as we saw lots of these, and also start/finish for some of the cruises. The staff are welcoming in general. The breakfasts are nice and offer a small variety as you would expect from a hotel of this size. They have a wee honesty bar and a pleasant courtyard which we and our friends enjoyed using for pre dinner drinks. They also have a small kitchen area where you can pick up water tea coffee in the late afternoon/evening. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. The air conditioning is noisy and old. We had a pleasant room at the back of the hotel overlooking the courtyard. It is dark due to the trees outside, but that does keep it cooler in the summer. The noise level from outside was minimal for us, but there is not a lot of soundproofing between rooms as we certainly had a lot of noise from upstairs and in the corridors. If you were in a street facing room it could be noisier, although to be fair our friends were and said it was not noticeable. We arranged two tours via the hotel - one to Valparaiso and one to Cajon del Maipo for a walk in the Andes. They were expensive and not particularly good, so I would recommend sorting any trips via another platform such as this one.
