Property Notes

The property charges a prepayment. Directions: Please note that if you are arriving by car, do not use satellite navigation once you reach Rowsley as it will direct you too far along Chatsworth Road (also the B6012). The Old Station House is the second house on the left immediately after turning onto Chatsworth Road from the A6. It has a white conservatory on the front and a B&B sign above the front door. The entrance to the car park is 131 feet further along Chatsworth Road, bordered by a lamppost and a bus stop. If you are coming from Chatsworth along the B6012, follow the road through Rowsley until you pass Hinckley Court on your right and then our car park entrance is immediately after the bus stop on your right. The house is 131 feet further along the road towards the A6 junction. Standard check-in time is between 16:30 and 18:00. Outside these hours the staff may not be available so, if you would like to check-in at an alternative time, please contact the property in advance and they will do their best to accommodate your request. A deposit may be required at the property.

Very welcoming, helpful and friendly . Excellent breakfast with nice selection. Opportunity for friendly chat with other residents at breakfast. Good base for exploring lovely area, with knowledgeable advice available from host.

No real problems. Our room was small but very comfortable (the small size was not unexpected).

Room was very compact, but everything else made up for it, couldn't take the showerhead off the wall ( fitting loose), toiletries was moving. Photo on booking.com is very misleading, but took it with a 😃

Ideal location for exploring Matlock, Bakewell, Chatsworth and the wider Peak District area. Free parking nearby and free Wi-Fi. Reasonably-priced Marstons pub within walking distance. Small, but adequate bathroom facilities. Clean and comfortable. Charming hostess. Good breakfast options with hot food freshly cooked. Great coffee (cafetière).

Better quality pillows needed.
