Nara Hakushikaso

Location is perfect

The hotel was perfect, except I wasn't used to the shower and the rooms looked a bit old, but I had the best nights sleep of my trip here, and it is really close to the train station aswell as Nara park

Nara Hakushikaso er mit yndlingshotel i Nara. Det ligger kun 3 min fra Nara Kintetsu station, men i en traditionel og releativt stille gågade med flere gode traditionelle restauranter indenfor 2-3 min. Alt er af første kvalitet. Ikke mindst det interne varme bad og muligheden for japansk aftensmad på værelset. Personalet er utroligt venligt.

O Onsen não aberto no período da manhã. Somente a tarde/noite.

The staff were very courteous and welcoming. We stayed in one of the traditional rooms and had the breakfast and dinner (recommend doing both!). The presentation and quality of the food were excellent. While our room had a private bath and two toilets, we also enjoyed the onsen (public bath).

For the public bathing experience in the onsen, it might be helpful to have a small pamphlet that describe the proper etiquette (besides covering tattoos) for foreigners who are not familiar with the customs. But otherwise quite enjoyable!
