The fact that my bathroom shut on its own, thankfully, I didn’t get locked inside.
GBFriendly staff, great, large pool. Very well equipped, spacious adjoining family rooms, backing onto the lazy river, with fully equipped kitchen/ washing machine. Comfortable and relaxing. A few very basic cheap places to eat within walking distance. Good base for a few days. We headed out to explore most days.
Not direct access to the beach, you needed a shuttle. (We had previously stayed at a nearby resort directly on the beach, but the shallow tidal waters weren't that great for swimming/ snorkelling anyhow, so not a problem for us). Pretty quiet, so lacking the ambience/ buzz which it might have in normal times. More of a very nice hotel than a beach resort feel.
