Star for friendly. Willing to help whenever it was needed and the overall feeling of the place was very cosy

Not very much not to like , the bottle of prosecco in my room was warm and took a while to get changed but other than that everything was top notch

Traditional clean and helpful staff

Unfortunately there was an issue with lighting in the spa. These things happen but was only opportunity to use the spa during stay and wasn’t able to.

We had a Courtyard room which was huge, comfortable, warm and welcoming - highly recommend it. Lovely grounds and nice walks nearby. The house itself is better than most National Trust frontages - you reallydo feel you are stepping back 500 years. Great food as well. Cant remember when I had such good (or indeed any) kippers for breakfast.

The drive is a bit full of potholes! Better signposting of the exit would help.

"The Perfect Stay!"

Staff was so helpful and lovely. Room was beautiful, had a view of the lake. Bed was super comfy, and room was very clean. Food was excellent in the restaurant. Spa was lovely to use, and had enough time to enjoy it. I would 100% be going back soon!

All was perfect.
