Hotel Amadeus

Good price. Big room. Historic building in an old development.

It is not easy to communicate in English. There are not many options at breakfast.

Close to the centre, the train station and the Reggia palace.

Old-style hotel, all a bit tired, dark and depressing, extremely unfriendly staff, tiny shower, toilet difficult to flush, wi-fi hit and miss (mostly miss), very basic breakfast (you have to ask the guy behind the bar what you want and hope it's available). I don't recommend staying here if you have other options. I'm not a fussy traveller and I've stayed in hundreds of hotels but this was probably the most unfriendly and unwelcoming.

Molto vicino alla Reggia ed alla stazione. Colazione all' italiana. Silenziosa nonostante la vicinanza ai binari ferroviari. Molto pulita, abbiamo fatto 2 notti e hanno cambiato tutto le salviette dopo la prima notte.

Hotel a pochi passi dalla stazione e dalla Reggia di Caserta. Posizione ottima. Arrivato in Hotel la stanza non era ancora pronta nonostante avessi rispettato l'orario (capita in piena estate) ho comunque potuto depositare i bagagli. Appena entrato c'era una Signora molto indaffarata che si occupava sia delle pulizie che del check-in, mi ha detto che non era lei la proprietaria (invece una sua dipendente mi ha detto il contrario, a me comunque non cambiava saperlo). La Signora voleva farmi pagare appena entrato (anche qui, per me non c'era nessun problema, ma non avevo letto da nessuna parte questa prassi). Avvertendo una diffidenza nei miei confronti, in altri suoi atteggiamenti, ho sentito la necessità di tranquillizzare questa Signora facendo 4 chiacchiere (anche se non ero tenuto). Il modo di porsi nei miei confronti è totalmente cambiato nel momento in cui ho comunicato la mia professione, il motivo della visita e mi sono concesso a rispondere a qualche sua domanda e a parlare del più e del meno, tutto in presenza di un grande cane accanto a lei (poteva semplicemente digitare il mio nome e cognome in Internet). Tale comportamento può essere comprensibile in altri contesti, la signora alla fine è gentile, ma ahimè non ho molto gradito. Non credo di ritornare. Mi viene un po' da ridere, ma questa è la mia esperienza. Comunque è un buon Hotel, soprattutto per la vicinanza con la Reggia di Caserta, supermercato, pizzerie, bar, lavanderia tutto a pochi passi. Consigliato.

I loved my stay here while visiting Caserta and the palace! The hosts were so nice and the breakfast was awesome. No complaints from me.

Good location for train station and the Caserta Royal Palace. I arrived before check-in and the hotel was locked, but on pressing the bell someone came and I was able to leave my suitcase at the hotel while I visited the Caserta Royal Palace. I had to ask at reception for the wifi password. Staff didn't speak English, but this wasn't a problem. The single room was clean and fine for the price. I slept well and there was no problem with noise.
