This place is a gem in the middle of Huaraz. The gardens are a perfect oasis to relax at the end of your day. The breakfast is superb, especially the fresh squeezed orange juice. The owner, Luis, is the perfect host with helpful suggestions and ensuring your comfort. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot.

A real oasis of calm and green in the middle of Huaraz. Our room was well kitted out - it even had a microwave. Luis was an excellent host and helped us organise transport for day hikes.

We used Hotel Colomba as our base for a month while we rode our bicycles around the area. Owner was helpful, generous, stored our bicycle boxes and spoke English. Breakfast was extensive and varied. Rooms were impeccably clean and beds comfortable. Close walking distance from the centre of town, but a quiet little retreat amidst the noise of Huaraz.

Hidden gem situated just a stone's throw away from the city center. Shielded by its tall walls, it provides a surprising quietude amidst the Huaraz chaos. The beautifully landscaped gardens amplify this tranquility, giving a peaceful break from the city's hustle. Breakfast was a plentiful buffet where the staff ensures every detail is attended to. The room was cozy, with a notably comfortable bed. While Huaraz can have its water and electricity challenges everything runs seamlessly at the hotel, there were enough electrical plugs in the room and there was always hot water in the shower. What truly set this hotel apart for me, though, was the staff. Every individual I interacted with was exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I felt at home. A special mention to the owner – his passion for the place shines through, and his warmth and welcoming nature made my stay all the more memorable. An oasis of calm and hospitality, I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is amazing. In the middle of a busy city, Hotel Colomba is set in peaceful, beautiful gardens, securely behind high walls. Everything is in excellent condition, and the host has clearly put a great deal of thought and experience into the place. He is able to give guests helpful advice about whatever you need. The bonus is an excellent full breakfast, including healthy options like good muesli, fruit and fresh juice. All staff were friendly and helpful.
