Aparthotel Pharia

It would be a mistake to judge this hotel against the usual US, Australian or British standard. Sure there were things it lacked like a pool or gym or tea and coffee making facilities, but it got all the basics right and it had one overwhelming advantage in the staff. They were genuinely helpful and knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble. Over our stay we got to know some of them quite well and the stay began to feel more like a home stay than a hotel experience. You won't get that at your typical "big" hotel. The "breakfast girl" (sorry I can't remember her name) was a joy, and Sanja and the front office crew were uniformly excellent.

Hotel staff very friendly & helpful. I was concerned about landing late and missing the last ferry to the island and emailed them. They wrote back and reassured me about the journey & kept check in open until I arrived just past 11pm. They were only a few people staying at the same time as me and they gave me upgrade from single room to an apartment which was very nice touch and gave me more freedom to choose during the week stay. It is very close to other properties so, if peace and quiet is important to you then be aware that noisy groups can spoil that for you.

I liked the fact it was close to the beach and other places such as grocery store. It was only a 20 minute walk from the hotel to the old town centre. Always enjoyed the walk along the waterfront

Staff couldn't do enough for us. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was lovely, cooked breakfast to our order. Clean apartment, comfortable queen bed. we would recommend this hotel. No swimming pool but sea close by if you wanted to swim.

I have given this hotel mostly "3:s as our original room (204) was awful but the apartment we were moved into was excellent!Room 204 had only lukewarm water and it had no sink plug so shaving was tricky - plus the only mirror was over the toilet! There were two dangerous sockets, one broken and the other very loose. The lack of maintenance was apparent in the wonky/loose wall heater, toilet roll holder and soap dispensers. There was hardly enough space to sit on the toilet without getting cramp! When we pointed out these shortcomings, together with photographs, we received profuse apologies and were moved to an apartment in a separate building. The water was very hot, it was spacious and everything functioned well. They assured me they would fix all the faults in Room 204. The location is a little far from the centre of Hvar but very close to the best beaches.

The staff were super helpful. The room was clean and tidy and there was a second room with a sofabed and TV. The sea view was great and included the nearby islands which could be enjoyed from the chairs on a large two sided balcony. We only stayed one night but we enjoyed our stay.

Great place and location. Wifi was spotty but they said they were in the process of upgrading it.

The bed was very uncomfortable. Good location if you want to be close to Hula Hula club. Room was clean and the staff very nice. The breakfast was decent too.

Very basic, think travelodge. Bit of a yomp into hvar. Staff very helpful though.

We loved our accommodation and really enjoyed our stay in Hvar.
