Albergo Stelvio

We had a good night's sleep and a good breakfast. Checkout is rather unhelpfully at 10am, and they like you to pay on arrival, but the staff were flexible on both these things. We did the Bernina Express trip to Chur in Switzerland, and we stayed here the night before setting off. The bed was comfortable. This may have been a strange one-off, but there was an unpleasant smell in our bedroom in the morning (that we were pretty sure wasn't coming from anything we did!).

Pleasant hotel with friendly staff in a very central location. Good starting point for walks.

The place is very clean and well maintained. But the room I stayed in (101) is next to one of the main streets of the town and car noises throughout the night. I can barely sleep the whole night.

We stayed for one night before boarding the Bernina Express. Great staff, close to train station and easy walk around town. Would recommend - very comfortable bed!

Great value hotel & worth paying the extra for a lovely breakfast. Friendly staff. Only problem was noise from the main road so if that bothers you ask for a room away from it.

A clean fairly basic hotel run by friendly and helpful people. Only real complaint was that our room had quite a lot of road noise.

We chose this hotel for value over anything else. The room was fairly basic but clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the fact that the hotel was being renovated while we were there and the drills were a bit noisy - but that's what you get for staying in the off season ( and to be fair , all the work stopped in the early evening!)

Spacious, good bathroom, helpful proprietor recommended great restaurant that knew about gluten free Osteria Antica. Would return for longer stay as Tirano looks interesting.
