Villa d’Elsa is a hotel/residence, where the rooms have small kitchens allowing the preparation of simple meals. The hotel will provide a coffee/croissant breakfast if required. The location is on a pedestrianised street in Juan Les Pins, where there are six or seven restaurants of diverse types. The town is lively with good beaches (some are ‘plages privées’, that charge for access). The town has been gradually improved in the last few years and the remaining work is at ‘La Pinède’, which could be finished for the coming season. The town is definitely ‘on the up’ and I would certainly recommend a stay at Villa d’Elsa, as an economic alternative to the more traditional hotels.

Nothing really. Perhaps the management could put up a polite notice advising visitors that late night chats on landings and corridors might disturb other guests. That only happened once when I was there, but it woke me up.
