Courtyard by Marriott York

The staff was very professional. The room was not very clean. We only booked the hotel because online it stated it had a hot tub and pool, when we got there, hot tub was drained and there was a terrible noise coming from somewhere in the pool area that lead us to leave the pool area....so no pool, no hot tub.

I really have to say I like staying at this hotel the only thing I didn’t like or appreciated was the older lady in the front desk at check out giving me an attitude just because I asked for a printed receipt. The reason I always ask for a printed receipt is because I have to expense it and most of the time I don’t get emails from the hotels with my final receipt. Other than that I like it and will continue to go there.

The air conditioner didn’t work very well. The curtains were a mess. A snickers bar was $6.00.

I did not eat breakfast at the Courtyard. I brought my own.

I would have appreciated it if the Bistro had been opened when I arrived at the hotel at 6:00. The Bistro closed at 5:00. I didn't a problem with Courtyard. My name is Mary K Davis. When I booked my reservation through Booking.com they entered my last name as Kdavis. The front desk staff at the hotel worked patiently to find my reservation. I will never again use Booking.com.

Lack of front desk availability.

I've stayed at this location many times over the past several years. As such, I've come to know what I need to make this a good stay. The walls and floors resonate sound, the area seems sketchy, and even after trying the hotel that basically connects by parking lot, this has been the lesser of evils. I think next time I'll try one of the new properties that I had been avoiding. After communicating with the front desk and being assured some room requests would be met, when I checked in, they had not actually held to their commitment. So, I had to deal with noise from sides and above way later than is reasonable. Next, after staying here many times over the past several years, I was hit with a parking fee of $3.00. For parking in York. Seriously? What's next, a towel fee? Don't kid yourselves, this is not some city-location where parking is tight and this fee is justified. It's a rural/industrial area with a massive empty parking lot for a distribution center across the street. Work your costs into your rate, but don't nickel and dime us, it's just insulting to your customers.
