I am confused as we were never offered breakfast at all!

The host could not speak English and harassed me with google translate on her phone about my trailer I had with parked my Ute! I phoned in advance and asked for permission to stay with my Ute and trailer and was told this would be fine as there is plenty of parking? I also mentioned it again via secure messages with the booking when it was made. I was made to fell uncomfortable and unwelcome. Also after the booking it was only then listed that our personal shoes have to be left outside the room and to wear scuffs supplied. I for one will not leave my footwear outside where they could get wet or even get stolen. I also do not wear footwear that other people have been wearing as this is a hygiene risk of catching athletes foot etc.

Location was peaceful and right on the Cardrona edge of Wanaka. We loved the surrounding gardens and peace and quiet. Great to have covered parking right outside the front door (2 bed unit). We had no contact with staff at all, but the convenient lock box access to the unit was all we needed. Excellent heating options in the unit, including a heat pump/air con and panel heaters on the wall.

The shower in the 2 bed unit is petite! I was travelling with my elderly mother, and she found the two big steps into the unit from outside difficult.

Spacious and serene accommodation, loved every moment in the lodge! Very comfortable stay with amazing tranquil nature views. Highly recommend!
