Begijnhof Hotel

Lovely hotel, beautiful location on edge of location. Breakfast was excellent, hotel facilities very good. Would highly recommend. Only downside was at check out. When I told receptionist I had been charged for a night in the bar and We had not set foot in the bar, she was irritated. After a few moments on her computer she ripped up the first bill and printed a second one (minus the bar bill) and put it on the counter with no apology or explanation. other than that, all was excellent.

Excellent hotel

Friendly and helpful staff, very nice public areas at the hotel, including a beautiful garden. Very good breakfast. Room are just standard - nothing fancy. I recommend asking in advance for a room with A/C in the summer period as it may get very hot.

Great hotel, located in a historic building in surrounded by greens and river. Very quiet area and ~10 min walk to the center. The staff was friendly and very informative. Very good breakfast. The room was a bit small comparing to 4* US hotels.

We did not stay in downtown Leuven this time as we had a rental car which meant the need for parking. The hotel is conveniently located near the highway, but was surprisingly quiet. The garden was meticulous and impressive. We had a great dinner there. Food was good and staff pleasant. The room was spacious and clean. The only suggestion for improvement I make would be the shower. The glass was too small and only covered one-third of the tub, so water kept spilling onto the floor. Otherwise it was a perfect little gem in the outskirts of the city and we will certainly return.

Beautiful historical location; very comfortable room, a bit dated but all in all very good; beautiful back yard; close to supermarket, very close to bus stop; 10-15 min walk to city center. Would definitely come back!

Comfortable hotel but quite difficult to find - the signing for the hotel is obscure, where it is placed behind a public car park. The rooms are old but comfortable. I did have an issue with one of the towels in the bathroom which had a couple of long black hairs attached to them. The breakfast was very good and it is a nice dining hall.

We found this hotel to be absolutely lovely. It was immaculately clean and well cared for. The level of service was high and we were well looked after. The room was roomy and had very comfortable beds and warm quilts. It is situated well within walking distance to the town centre and well sign posted. It has excellent car parking in front of the hotel for 12 Euros a night with a coded barrier to get out. We dined in the restaurant and we were well satisfied with both the quality of the food and the service received. Good choice for breakfast too.
