Hotel City Zürich Design & Lifestyle

This is a very nice hotel in a good, convenient location. The staff were extremely helpful, and the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The only real downside is the elevator. There is only one small lift for the entire building. During peak check-in and check-out times, you have to wait quite a while to use it, especially if you have large luggage. Overall a great stay, but you need a bit of patience with the lift.

Comfortable and spacious rooms in the heart of city center

Welcoming and friendly staff on arrival and helpful for advice and directions. We arrived early and the room wasn't available until later in the day but they were happy to look after our luggage as we went off to explore the city. It's in a great location, minutes from the main station, and probably no more than 15 mins walk from many of the main sights (lake, river, churches, main shopping street.) We found the area quiet but with all the facilities you need no far away (supermarket and pharmacy just opposite, restaurants around the area.) Breakfast was varied, tasty and well presented with hot and cold options: Sausages, scrambled eggs, fruit, breads, pastries/cakes, fresh orange juice, coffee machine, range of teas, cereals etc. The wifi was fast and reliable and the room was a good size and well appointed.

There is little to fault at this hotel, the only suggestion we had would be to have blackout curtains/blinds as the thin curtains and bright street lamps outside meant it was very light in the room overnight.
