Hotel Gudenå

This was a nice change from the usual 'linens not included', small, expensive hotels in Denmark. We were here on weekend and it was totally deserted (like almost everywhere else in Denmark.) We did not see any other guests during the entire stay; saw a couple of hotel workers during the day (on the other hand, we didn't really see any people in the town either.) Self check-in and it a bit tricky, but if you can use Excel you're computer savvy enough to figure it out yourself. Beside those couple 'minuses' this hotel is a gem! Room is very clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is Spartan but pretty well kept and clean. This is an excellent option if you wanna stay near LEGOLAND (about 30 min away). While I don't think there's anything to do in Torring, the hotel is half to an hour away from Kolding, Vejle. Best of all: the rate. I don't think you can find comparable hotels in Denmark for under $100.

Room was clean and comfortable bed but hotel in middle of nowhere and no staff - a ghost hotel. Check in by machine. No one around to ask when had issue. A weird experience - we prefer people to machine.

This is a great little family-run hotel near the charming village if Tørring where we spent a few days visiting friends in the area. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed quite comfy and the decor very pleasant. We enjoyed a lovely, Danish breakfast that was prepared and served by the owners in a very pleasant restaurant area. It was even possible to sit on the terrace for breakfast! There was a great common sitting area, as well, for leisure time. This hotel has an interesting "self-check-in" system which we thought at first could be a concern, but the kiosk worked flawlessly and we were in the door and into our room quickly and easily. No worries!

Interesting hotel. There is no staff. You check in via touch screen in the lobby and it spits out a key. The tv did not work in room 7, but the wifi was decent. You are in the middle of nowhere and I never saw another person during my stay. The hotel looks like a converted barn

Area is brilliant , not very far for sceneries . You don't see any staff around so if you'll need anything you need to call them or leave a note

We were "lucky" to get "one of three rooms left." We were greeted by an empty parking lot and all entries locked. We were unable to cancel because hotels.com did not recognize our phone and gave us no alternatives except an 800number that cost us $7 per minute overseas.

Good wifi connection, ok beds, very clean and average breakfast. All in all good value for money. The local businesses in the surrounding area is very limited. Hard to find food after 2100 and no refrigirator for storing food in the room. However i enjoyed the stay

The location is simply too noisy, you need to build a fence. I could not keep the window open, and hardy got any sleep.

Practical location if going to legoland and have a vehicle. It is well priced and clean. There is some noise from the nearby road. Overall a good clean hotel

I understand now what the other reviewers are talking about no reception!! There is NO reception, its a computer on a stand as you go in the front door. You have to register via the keyboard and it spits out your room card from a machine nearby. Im computer savy so I had no troubles but some one not up to emailing and computers would spend alot of time trying to get a room. That said it is a very nice and comfortable hotel. We are 3 adults and found it comfortable. Its very clean and fresh looking. Beds comfortable. Bathroom is large. Plenty of parking on Hotel grounds and its free. Free WiFi worked very well. Breakfast was a little ordinary in choice but plenty of food to fill up on and very fresh looking and tasting. We booked a room for 3 adults and would highly recomend this hotel to anyone.
