Hotel Dakyanus Tataouine

Accueil très sympa et personnel très gentil Séjour d’une nuit, hôtel vieillissant et mériterait d’être rénové. Très beau site et bien placé. Repas très bon.

Vi ero stato altre due volte (2012 e 2014) e mi ero trovato molto bene. Quando siamo arrivati questa volta, la prima notte non c’era la camera prenotata e ce n’è stata data una mal messa e sporchissima, con letti sporchi e distrutti.

Séjour convenable mériterait une rénovation

Ce séjour faisait partie d’un road trip de Tozeur à Djerba en passant par le désert. Fabuleuse nuitée avant d’arriver à Tataouine. Hôtel de style berbère, silence et lever de soleil remarquable. Une vraie piscine extérieure pour faire des longueurs aux beaux jours. Restaurant très bien, personnel discret et accueillant. Près de Chenini.

No water at all in the room on checkin and then after 2 hours only cold water. Was forced to have a cold shower nearly naked outside by the swimming pool. Advertised WiFi was basically non existent in the room and the restaurant and hotel lobby. Dinner food quality was very poor and mostly cold. Also the restaurant was inundated with very hungry and annoying cats with very sharp claws digging into my clothes and even groin while they kept trying to climb onto my lap to get food. Although restaurant staff kept chasing the cats out they kept managing to keep entering the restaurant. Staff was generally nice but management is clearly to blame. Hotel grounds were reasonably well kept and nice gardens. We were happy to depart in the morning.

Every thing was in french so we didn't understand but other than that was lovely

We spent two nights and days here as a family of four (2 adults, one teenager and one 6 year old) - primarily to be a base for our visiting the Star Wars sets. The whole place is so elegantly decorated that we felt we were in a palace in ancient times! The rooms were perfect size (and if you can get their one suite, you'll feel really pampered!). A must-stay if you're anywhere near Tatooine!

The hotel is out of Tataouine town. It is relatively a good hotel in the desert area. The staffs are nice, food is good in local standard. Wifi signal is a little weak in room but speed is good if you move to lobby.

We stayed one night at the Dakyanus in September 2014 whilst on a motoring tour of Tunisia. It is a long way outside the town , but is like heaven on earth! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were simple but quite comfortable (comfortable bed and pillows, running hot and cold water) , the food was plentiful and of good quality, and above all a large pool right on the edge of the Sahara desert! The setting is absolutely idyllic: the hotel is in a perfect position to explore the local sites (Including Chenini, Luke Skywalker's home). At night, the starry night was quite spectacular and it was perfectly still and silent, except for the sound of the insects!
