We did not stay because the odor of the hotel was too bad. Referencing Trip Advisor, after declining to stay there. The smell and run down condition is noted several times. I just saw this link to comment. I have sent another complaint to your website in more detail about the false advertising of this property.

Smell. Dead flowers at the reception desk. Facility lacked the features advertised. All the rooms had the lights off. We were walked through dark halls, rooms and down to a room, with the window opened. The room smelled like the rest of the place, musty.,moldy and an over use of air fresheners which was obnoxious. Not to mention soiled rugs and worn everything. The bar , although just a tray of bottles, were old and barely full. The front view of the ocean was great. The place has been lovely, I believe before, but everything is in need of a facelift. Everything!

Location could not have been better. Beautiful home. Just outside of Angra on the water. Quiet and peaceful after a day of white knuckle driving on the island! The owner, Maria, was absolutely lovely, as was her staff. Excellent price also. Hope to go back and stay in the spring.

The only thing I can think of is having a small refrigerator and an ironing board in the bedrooms. This would not stop me from going back there. Only a suggestion.

Maria is a sweetheart and ensured my stay was wonderful. The infinity salt water pool is a joy to swim in, grounds are lovely, property is classy and interior design exquisite. Prob the most luxurious place to stay on Terceira, yet the price is most reasonable. I suggest booking directly with Maria at geral at quintadamerces dot com. For those of us non native Portuguese speakers, Maria will happily converse with you in English. She and her late husband (2016) lovingly restored what was essentially a ruin 18 years ago. Asked to see the before and after photos. Her collection of beautiful objects from her extensive world travels is a delight. Check out her collection of teapots.
