Hotel an der Hörn

Für einen kurzen Städtetrip oder als Übergang zum Kreuzfahrtschiff ideales Hotel, das direkt am Rand des Stadtzentrums und ca. 5 bis 10 Gehminuten vom Hafen entfernt liegt. Obwohl die Einfahrt zum Hauptbahnhof direkt am Hotel vorbei führt, kann das Haus als ruhig bezeichnet werden. Die Zimmer sind großzügig geschnitten und haben eine optisch nette und praktische Ausstattung. Restaurant- und Frühstücksraum sind schön gestaltet. Bei voller Auslastung könnte es jedoch unter Umständen ein wenig eng werden. Da die Bar gerade renoviert wurde, bestand leider keine Nutzungsmöglichkeit. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und empfehlenswert.

Hyggeligt hotel med altan, alt personalet er meget venligt, morgenmaden er meget meget fin. dog er der ingen elavator. 20 min gang til byen, parkings kælder 8 euro pr. døgn. kommer gerne igen.

Bardzo ładne miasto z wieloma ciekawostkami turystycznymi i fajnymi ludźmi.

Starfsfólk mjög vingjarnlegt, notalegur restaurant sem bíður upp á góðan mat og góður morgunverður.

Fint sted midt i Kiel. Garage - lækkert morgenmad - fik en lille lejlighed med terrasse med udsigt over Kiel. Høflig betjening, og alt dette til en rimelig pris.

We received a very warm welcome. We loved our room which was absolutely enormous and had a balcony so we could keep an eye on all the trains, boats and traffic on the bridge. The breakfast buffet was good, although they were a bit slow with replenishing it when it ran out. The WiFi connection was poor. The beds were comfortable.

Easy walking distance from Kiel railroad station of about 5 blocks. Very clean. Be prepared though...no elevator and a four story hotel! Many restaurants and services within walking. You can rent bike next to RR station.

Food was good, service was friendly, but occasional problems with reception staff not speaking English. Younger staff were much better. No lift, so cases need to be carried up stairs. Rooms were enormous and comfortable. The double bed was a pair of comfortable king-sized single beds pushed together. No safe in rooms. Situation: The hotel is very close to rail and harbour.

When we arrived at the hotel the booking was not OK (the booking was confirmed by Hotels.com). The person in the reception could only speak German. The hotel room: dusty/dirty floors, smell of cigaretts, very 80's colors on walls an curtains. We planed to stay for two nights, but we left after the first night. I can't understand why this hotel can be rated so high.
