chambre confortable, silencieux; restaurant excellent

In Engeland zou je het een cottage noemen. Een gezellig oud maar goed onderhouden hotel, dat nog echt de landelijke sfeer uitstraalt.

L'emplacement de l’hôtel est idéal puisqu'à deux pas du château de Villandry et de l'itinéraire de la Loire à vélo. Les chambres sont confortables, le personnel très agréable. Un vrai plus pour le voyageur à vélo : le garage à vélo fermé à clé.

Nous garderons une très mauvaise impression du séjour à l'hôtel. Cela nous a d'ailleurs gâché notre week-end qui s'était jusqu'alors très bien passé et nous a fait rentrer plus tôt que prévu: la personne qui m'a donné les clefs m'a assuré à trois reprises qu'il n'y avait pas d'heure pour libérer la chambre (j'avais insisté, car allant souvent à l'hôtel, les exigences sont variables et étant de mariage, je savais que nous nous coucherions tard); réveillés à 11h ayant oublié de mettre le réveil, nous nous pressions de nous préparer; à 11h30, le patron a appelé, très agressif et menaçant, nous demandant de vider les lieux; lors du règlement de la chambre il a réitéré ses remarques désagréables, nous demandant même de nous confronter à son employé! puis il est allé jaser sur notre compte dans son bar en des termes insultants. Quel bel accueil! nous ne recommandons pas cet hôtel aux gens venus se détendre en Touraine!

The Coquelicot family room is great if you are travelling with small kids, it has its own kids TV and bathroom and is spacious and well equipped. The service was professional and friendly - and happy to deal with a 5 year old and a baby. We had a very nice dinner - perhaps a little overpriced (especially the kids menu) - but there are plenty of other eating options in the vicintiy. The breakfast was the weakest element, especially the coffee - but again perfectly adequate, and it is optional, so alternative breakfast options can be explored. The hotel is conveniently located to explore the Loire between Tours and Saumur; we all enjoyed our stay and would happily go back again.

Being able to spend a full 24 hours at Villandry was wonderful thanks to Le Colombien which is a charming hotel only a short distance from the gardens and chateau. The room was cheerful, comfortable, clean, and reasonably priced.

We arrived around 4 p.m. and couldn't find anyone to check us in. We had to leave our bags and go and have a drink. When we got back someone asked us our name, picked up a key and started to walk up some stairs so we followed. Right up in the attic, small room as the bathroom had been built in it. Went down for dinner. We both had what was supposed to be vegetable soup and which was a bowl of luke warm vegetable water - absolutely disgusting. My husband had chicken and you needed glasses to find it as it was so small together with cold chips. I had pizza which was awful. We wouldn't have fed the food to our dogs. I had mousse au chocolat which was the best part of the meal but again didn't have much flavour. Would definitely not return!

ottimo x posizione, cibo( ristorante proprio da provare si mangia benissimo e non caro) camere accoglienti e belle ( a noi hanno dato la mansarda ) parcheggio fronte albergo, e tanta tranquillità.

Cet hôtel est parfait. Notre chambre était très spacieuse et très près du château. La décoration était très agréable. Les repas tout à fait agréables et le personnel très sympathique.
