Hotel Kursaal - Umbria

Excellent hotel...Great staff...Beautiful location...Outstanding food in their glass enclosed dining room overlooking the lake...The room we had was small but the terrace overlooking the lake more than made up for this. The owner was very accommodating. In my opinion this stay was the best part of a 4 1/2 week vacation. HIGHLY recommended!

We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel's site and view from our room. The food was outstanding but the staff is what stood out.. They were great and could not do enough for you.

The hotel staff were absolutely wonderful, very helpful and, without exception, friendly and cheerful. Our room overlooked Lake Trasimeno and the pool area, very nice indeed. The evening meals were excellent, especially the daily menu which was great value for money and just as nice as the a la carte. Bruno was very knowledgeable about local vineyards and recommended some wonderful wines. All in all a great holiday, would highly recommend.

Stayed here between city visits to Florence and Rome to relax and the hotel and location were ideal for this. Arrived at Passignano station to discover there was no taxi rank, asked at the cafe to call one but they phoned the hotel and they came and collected us (also dropped us off at end of visit). Grounds of hotel were well maintained with camping and caravaning taking place on site. Small private beach on shore of Lake Trasmeno 20 metres from back door of hotel, unfortunately plant growth in lake prevented any serious swimming that I had planned for. Small well kept (the cleanest i had ever seen) pool with sun beds also in grounds. Complimentary WiFi in hotel, unfortunately coverage did not reach room on 2nd floor. Slightly isolated location but walk into town was flat 20 minutes or bikes available to use at your leisure. Food in restaurant was good standard and the "daily" menu was good value. Best feature of the stay was the staff though, all extremely friendly with good standard of English.
