"Paradise in Blue"

8.0

We had a lovely lovely holiday in Mauritius. BleudeToi was a delightful place of rest with every member of the management and staff only to pleased and willing to go the extra mile and assist and advise, and with a smile. Hotel facilities and condition and Room comfort are both a 4 because there needs to be a little improvement in the room furniture, air con and the pool and pool area. Mauritius itself is indeed a paradise, with picture postcard scenery wherever you look. There is plenty to see and do.

"Bleu de Toi exceeded expectations!"

10.0

This is a really nice little guest house. The owner personally greeted us when we arrived and showed us around. The pool and surrounding grounds are well-maintained and tastefully decorated. The room was comfortable and very clean; no complaints whatsoever. The guest house is a 10 minute walk to Pereybere and a 25 minute walk to Grand Bay; unfortunately there's not much in terms of restaurants or stores close to the Bleu de Toi, but plenty of options in Pereybere. You can also take the bus to town easily. This is easily one of the nicest places we stayed in Mauritius.

"really nice stay"

10.0

My wife and i really enjoyed our stay at bleu de toi. The staff were so nice and always helpful, and we had a big familly room with a great graden view balcony. Robin(the owner) brings the spirit and charecter to this place, we can see his passion and profession from every details. And he is also an excellent chef, we had our best dinner with him since we arrived mauritius. unforgettable 6 nights that will stay in our memory. strongly recommend!!!

"Great B&B with great personal service by the owner"

10.0

Robin and his team have developed this B&B in a great way. The B&B has a very stylish decoration, the staff is very personal and they want to do the best for your stay. They help you with your luggage, great service during breakfast (home made yoghurt and other products), good tips for excursions/trips

"Good hotel, but not luxury."

6.0

The hotel claims to be 'luxurious' which it certainly is not. However the rooms are adequate, but need some maintenance. Our room had a good size balcony, which made the size OK. The continental breakfasts were excellent. Staff were very helpful. Location is good, set 100m away from the main road and walking distance to shops, supermarket and restaurants in Pereybere. The hotel is recommended, but do not expect luxury.

"Personal touch with care, and efficiency"

10.0

We had a very warm and friendly welcome from all staff from receptionists to cleaners (particularly capable and efficient) as well as staff doing the breakfast which was substantial. Careful thought has gone into making the hotel a relaxing and calming place with a number of activities. It is highly recommended for those who need peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist industry, but also very easy to reach with convenient parking, security and hospitality. The ordered evening meal however was quite expensive and given that there are a number of places to eat, the food can be prepared in a more economical way to attract more residents to remain on the premises.

"Great place for a couple"

8.0

We were most impressed with Bleu De Toi, and wished we had had a few days longer at this guesthouse. We were made welcome from the time we arrived, with Robin, the manager, and his assistant, Karen, being there to greet us and show us to our room. It was clear Robin has extensive experience of the hospitality industry having worked in South Africa, the United Kingdom and Sao Tome. The guesthouse is about 80 metres from the coastal road which can be busy at times although the traffic didn't trouble us at all. The nearest beach is at Pereybere which is a 5 minute walk away although Robin directed us to another, more private, beach in the opposite direction towards Grand Baie, and which we preferred. Our room was on the first floor: it was spacious with a generous balcony facing the front of the building and overlooking the hotel gardens and grounds which were kept in a tidy state. The room was en suite. There was an adequate swimming pool with sun loungers and chairs; there was also a pitch for boule. The downstairs terrace was used for meals and provided shade from the sun. The reservation was for bed and breakfast. However, Robin is a proficient cook and prepared a delicious three-course dinner with wine during our stay. He does this on an ad hoc basis each week for those guests who want a change from eating at local restaurants. We would recommend guests take advantage of this service.

"Nice quiet hotel, friendly staff"

8.0

Having stayed in a number of top hotels of late we had to remind ourselves on arrival to our room that we got quite a cheap deal on this place. The room was a decent size however immediately we noticed numerous stains on the duvet covers. I would definalty recomend that the owners chuck these out and replace with new and fresher looking ones. This was the same in our friends room. Im 6ft and my feet were out of the bed, but appart from that the room was very adequate and suited our purposes as we spent most of our time out of the room and exploring Mauritius. It would be great if all the rooms were non smoking as one night we did come back to an awful smell of smoke from the room below us which was very off putting but is more something were not used to in western hotels. The staff were very plesant and we were always greeted with a smile. Breakfast was good, fresh juice, coffee, fruit, croissants etc... However 10 days straight of the same breakfast was a bit much... The grounds and upkeep of the hotel were good, we always felt safe and the staff offered suggestions as to where to go and what to see. The hotel is a short 10 min walk from PereyBere beach and from the pereybere restaurants and a 15 min walk from the nearest supermarket. Grand Baie is abuot a 10 min taxi or bus, should cost you around 150 rupees in the taxi and 18r in the bus... Considering the price we felt it was a good stay, safe place, nice staff, good breakfast and not bad rooms.

"Beautiful eating area - Room 00 (zero zero) awful"

4.0

The Host and the Public areas were very nice but room 00 (zero zero) was awful - no windows. I felt like I was in a cave. A double glass door facing the garden would have made a huge difference. Please fix this you are doing your place a dis-service. Otherwise nice. I think the top rooms may be nice.
