Hotel Polydoros

I had a great stay at the Polydoros. It's in a lovely location by the sea, the owner is kind, accomodating, warm and professional. I loved being there in the off season, so peaceful and calm. The apartment was very comfortable, the shower strong and hot. Amazing breakfast on my balcony overlooking the sea was heavenly.

This small hotel is in a great location, walk out the door and slip into the sea - 100 yards to the right is a small beach too. The area has a few restaurants and a 20 minute walk along the sea front to find the main town, with plenty of places to eat and drink. The room we had included a balcony on the side (side sea view). The only disappointment here was that whist nice early morning sun (roller shutter keeps the room dark when sleeping), it was in the shade in the evening. Thoroughly recommended and would go back.

We loved our week's stay at the Polydoros in May. The location of the hotel is excellent, being so close to the sea. Our standard apartment was well equipped and had everything we needed - air conditioning, safe, balcony with side-sea view. Breakfast was optional at six euro per person and included Greek yogurt, bread, cheese, ham, eggs, bacon, cakes, orange juice and tea or coffee. It was enjoyable sitting on the terrace overlooking the bay with a glass of ouzo. There is a sandy beach a few metres away form the Polydoros and an easy fifteen minute stroll along the sea front takes you into the bustle of the town with its lake, harbour and numerous shops and tavernas. If you don't fancy the walk into town, the hotel sells snacks and there are several restaurants and supermarkets close by. We would definitely recommend this little hotel with its friendly owners and unique location.

We received a very warm welcome. We really enjoyed swimming in the sea which is right in front of the hotel property. Very good value.

commençons par le seul bémol; la situation Google, totalement fausse et sinon une signalétique plus que minimaliste. sinon accueil fraternel par le gérant dans une ambiance crétoise inter générationnelle très sympathique petite structure rénovée contemporaine avec un accès direct à la mer ou à une petite plage populaire, un snack bar en Rdc fréquenté par les locaux mais sans nuisance sonore une situation géographique idéale face au port un peu à l'écart de l'agitation du centre ville et juste assez proche pour s'y rendre à pied. bref une adresse qui mérite plus qu'une nuit de passage comme nous l'avons fait.
