It was very peaceful, I opened the window and there was the sound of birdsong. Easy walk to restaurants, mini supermarkets etc. Great for exploring Cherbourg and, as a solo traveller, i felt safe. Good kitchen facilities, very comfy bed with reachable lights and bedside table, and all clean.

I had never done the smart apart thing before, and am not very adept with technology, but fortunately there was a young woman letting herself in at the same time and she explained to me what to do. I did try and email to ask about the code to get into the actual apartment, but received no reply. Perhaps good to clarify things in the initial confirmation for those of us who are technologically challenged!
