The Stonefence Resort

Second time staying here. Next time i will book the room for 2 days, so i can experience the beautiful views of the water.

Nice little place, quaint room. Very tidy. Great views from the balcony of Canada and the water. Reasonable prices. Would recommend.

First were the flying one inch ants when we opened the doors to the patio! Management came and sprayed a lot but didn’t offer to move us??? So we smelled that all night! The beds were like laying on bare springs! And the lights were so dim we could barely see ?? Not a pleasant stay on our 49th anniversary

It is time for a renovation. Many things in need of repair.

To Bruce and all the employees at Stonefence in Ogdensburg NY. You have been the happiest of our memories over these past 20+ years. The grounds are always beautiful, the staff always feels like home. Your accommodations are perfect and spacious and we couldn’t be happier with everything, every time we visit. The room was clean, neat and comfortable but aged; don’t expect elegance. There was only one working electric outlet available for charging and one working tv. Bathroom faucet flow was meager; shower flow was adequate, but tricky to get comfortable water temperature. Staff was very attentive to accommodating customers: the room was released to us prematurely, but the owner was called and arrived with a staff member to make sure the room was properly prepared; desk clerk after 8:00 pm delivered to our room forks for our late night snack purchased at the nearby 24-hr grocery store.

The stay was great and we were greeted by a wonderful host. When we got to our suite, we noticed the room was nice and spacious and had the great views we had booked for. Our only issues is that the lamps were very dusty and hadn't been cleaned in months probably. The hotel also said we would get breakfast in the dining area, but when we went for breakfast on our last day, there was none. This was unfortunate as we really enjoyed it.

No housekeeping service in place during stay. We were not told about this upon arrival that we had to take dirty towels to office to exchange. Also no continental bfst during winter. Nothing like I have ever experienced before!!!

The only thing was the blanket on the beds didn't fit

Clean property though dated, breakfast does not open until 8 which is late for Working people.
