I stayed at Posada Cauca with my daughter and we couldn’t have asked for a better base to enjoy Ilha Grande. The rooms are simple but among the best the island offers—comfortable, clean, and with everything you need for a relaxed stay. The shower water temperature and pressure were perfect, a small detail that makes a big difference after a day on the beach. Daily cleaning was also a real plus, especially since you can’t throw toilet paper in the toilet here—it keeps everything fresh and easy. Breakfast was excellent every morning: fresh, plentiful, and varied enough to feel special. The staff are truly what make this place shine—kind, welcoming, and attentive. Rafael, in particular, went above and beyond, helping with absolutely every request. We visited at the perfect time of year: warm, sunny days without oppressive humidity, heat, or bugs. The island itself is a world heritage site with breathtaking beaches, and the location made it easy to enjoy it all.

Honestly, nothing stood out as a problem. On the rare occasion something came up, it was handled immediately and with genuine care. One small suggestion would be to provide a place to hang wet clothes so they can dry overnight, as things tended to stay humid inside.

I love this pousada, it is a quiet and friendly environment well located at Abraao. The staff is very kind, warm and always willing to help. I stayed before and keep coming back. It is always a pleasure!

Beds are quite hard

The pousada is conveniently located within easy reach of everything. It is very clean, though situated on an unpaved and occasionally muddy stretch of road. The garden is beautiful and meticulously manicured, adding to the charm. The breakfast room is lovely, as is the yoga space, and the small waterfalls provide a nice touch. The rooms are also very clean but lack furniture: there’s literally nowhere to store clothing. There’s only one tiny shelf and a hanger with just three hangers! The double bed is far too small, even for someone of average height. As for breakfast, the food selection is decent, but the quality is just okay. Forget communications, only one employee speaks english.

Muito boa a estadia, tudo limpo e bem organizado, certamente voltando para Ilha Grande retorno para a pousada. O unico ponto a ser considerado é atenção ao cobrar itens, pois meu esposo foi acertar o que pegou na geladeira da pousada e informaram itens não consumidos, mas por incerteza se eu havia consumido ou não, ele acabou pagando (eu não estava presente no momento do acerto).
