Diamond Place Ao Nang

This hotel was simple, clean, and a 10-15 min walk to the beach. The lady who appeared to be in charge at the hotel was very helpful. On my last day she gave me a ride into town before 6am to catch the bus to the airport. She even fixed a breakfast of a sandwich and banana to give to me that morning. Very thoughtful and this extra care made this place great. The only issue I had was no wifi in the room. The lobby area was big and comfortable and I used the wifi there. Nice quiet place away from town

The manager was great, she took us to Krabi's busy strip with all the hotels and restaurants and stores, she helped us with tours, very cheap. You get a lot more than what you paid for. It is a buit far away but they lend you bikes and take you to the busy strip and pick you up. Its very quiet as it is a bit far away from the noise and movement of Ao nang.

We are very happy with our stay. The manager and the staff of the hotel are very nice. They go above and beyond call of duty to accommodate us. The hotel is a bit away from tourist beach, but the manager would drive us there if we want it too. However, the local beach has beautiful sand, and less tourist. It is very nice if you want a piece of quiet for yourself. It closed to Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday night market where we can go find local stuff and food for cheap.

This hotel is very basic but is a cheap alternative to many of the resort hotels in Ao Nang. The staff were generally excellent, very polite and although occasionally there was a little difficulty in communicating they resolved every issue I had with a smile. The room was basic but clean, breakfast was ok. It is a bit of a walk to the beach but the staff will get a tuk tuk for you in five minutes and its very cheap to get into town. Highly recommended for people on a budget who want a step up from a hostel.

Clean basic hotel, few facilities [beach towels and mats, 2 bikes for loan, fridge and bottled water in room, free breakfast, no kettle in room] Staff are great and very helpful. 7 mins walk to Nopparat Thara Beach, the best in the area, much better beach than Ao Nang. Bars and restaurants close by too

Very nice and quiet location, relatively close to the beach. But quite far off the busy high street life. I think I was told by one of the tuk-tuk drivers it would cost me 65 Bath to get us home (what would be 20-30 minutes walk away). But I preferred to walk on the beach. :) Brand new air-conditioning system in the room so its a big plus. Staff are very helpful and breakfast is nice. We ended up extending our stay, as we liked Ao Nang so much... :)

The hotel is located few minutes away from Nopparat beach (5min with scooter and 15 min walking) beautiful and not too crowded beach and if you walk a bit further you'll find Ao Nang with lots of restaurants and bars and boats to go to the islands. The hotel is clean and they make your room everyday. There's a TV and mini fridge in the room and also a big wardrobe. But the most important of this hotel that makes a big difference is the owner. She is very lovely and so helpful. She helped us rent scooters and booked excursions and share informations about Krabi and its sightseeings. She makes you feel like at home. I definitely recommend this hotel for a cheap stay in Krabi with very good service, close location to beach and clean hotel.

Thai Boxing Club is a little bit noisy on Monday and Friday from 9-midnight but I just got home a little bit later then. It takes 10 minutes down to the first restaurants and the beach and after 20-25 minutes of nice walk you are in the middle of AoNang. Walked almost every day, didn't hardly take any Tuk-Tuk.

The staff at Diamond Place were friendly and helpful. When my daughter and I got severely sunburned and all our bodies were hurting a lot, the lady at the reception called a songteow for us at my request and asked the driver to drop by the nearest drugstore before heading for Krabi Town so I could buy a sunburn gel. Breakfast was fine, even some yummy Thai sweets were provided (when we were staying in early January). We could have a lush verdant mountain view from the balcony of the room we were staying in, with orange lights twinkling in the distant hills and mountains. The hotel was quiet and we had no noise problems at night. I highly recommend this hotel. The only downside would be its location - located a few minutes' walk from the Nopparat Thara beach, which is not one of the most beautiful beaches in Krabi. If you are fit and don't mind walking a lot, you can still walk up to Ao Nang Beach in about 20 minutes.

A bit spartan, but quiet, clean and great value for money. A bonus is that you can get onto the ground floor roof and watch the kick boxing in the stadium next door!
