San Miguel Santiago

After walking the Camino Portuguese, we were thrilled to stay in this lovely small hotel in the old town, just a few blocks away from the cathedral. Although it is located in the heart of things, the street is basically a dead end, and therefore very quiet.

A lovely small hotel in the heart of the old town. Easy to find with it's name prominently displayed. Very nice room with all the amenities.

San Miguel was a fantastic hotel and we enjoyed our stay here for 2 nights at the end of our Camino. The location was fantastic and extremely close to the cathedral as well as, cafes, restaurants and bars. Our room was very clean and the hotel is well maintained and tucked away in a side street.

Stayed for one night at the end of doing the Camino. Lovely hotel, right by everything in the old town. Worth paying the extra for the superior room - gorgeous rooftop views over the city and the Cathedral from the bathroom.

Nice, clean, close to everything, however was a terrible stay. We had the room on the 5th floor. First, the remote for the tv did not work, had to make 2 trips down to get one that would work, reception for only 6 tv channels. Second, the A/C did not work. Third, the noise from a bar below went until 2 am. You are on the same level as a church bell that is about 30 yards from your window, chimes on quarter/hr, half hour and every hour. On our second night, the noise from the bar started at 7pm music group with loudspeakers. We finally asked for another room at 930pm, they gave us another room , where the A/C worked, there was far more channels on the tv, and you could barely hear the noise from below. WARNING, if you stay here do not accept a room on the 5th floor due to noise and before mentioned deficiencies

I often stay here after my caminos. San Miguel is a beautiful, small hotel on a quiet square. Many rooms have magnificent views. A tranquil oasis just a couple hundred meters from the Catedral. First rate in every way. Great bathtub for a post-Camino soak!!!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was a short walk from everything I needed to get to.

This property is beautiful. Very well appointed in the heart of Santiago. My suggestion is that they should install safety bars inside the tubs, as it is very slippery and anyone regardless of age can fall. Most recently renovated hotels Europe have gone from tubs to tall showers. I visit Santiago once a year, but would not stay here again unless they take some proactive measures..

Loved my room and the whole hotel. Would definitely stay here again!
