Met Boutique Hotel - Boutique Class

I rarely leave reviews but this one was so bad I feel I should warn others. There are a handful of repeat complaints about this hotel like spotty WiFi and noisy rooms facing the road that are true but one thing you'll want to know about this hotel is that it REEKS of cigarette smoke on every floor and in the rooms, even though they claim it is "non-smoking." I recognize most Turkish folks smoke but it's unacceptable to advertise rooms as "non-smoking" when they are absolutely smoking with the "option not to smoke." I had to change rooms 2x and I just gave up the last time because she gave me a room where it's "non-smoking but a little smoke." I had no idea what this meant but was so frustrated with the process and their lack of understanding that some people don't want to be encased in bedding and curtains and carpet that smell heavily of cigarette smoke that I just let them get away with it. Even the AC pumps cigarette smelling smoke and leaving the windows didn't help as there was zero breeze (plus if you leave your windows open at night you will definitely get woken up repeatedly by traffic at night). It was a terrible experience and the hotel staff seemed completely blaise about customer care. I called hotels.com to ask for a refund (I didn't sleep more than 2 hours at a time either night and had a headache in the mornings) and they called the hotel and the hotel denied they gave me a smoking room and hotels.com told me basically they can't do anything. Unacceptable

Hotel is full of charm. Staff is super helpful and price is so reasonable for its value.

New hotel, good location and good service.

The staff was most hospitable, very welcoming and helpful. They upgraded us to a suite, and it was amazing. Huge, modern, and just wow! Large entryway, chic living room, big balcony with city view, and a private sauna. The breakfast was delicious. If you are driving, it's a little difficult, but valet parking is free. I would definitively recommend this hotel to everyone.

There were issues with our stay here. The appearance is lovely and the rooms are updated and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, our room was very warm when we arrived after a long day of travel. We turned on the AC, but it never seemed to be able to cool the room adequately. I reached for a cold drink from the mini bar, but everything in it was warm. This could be because the power will not run in the room without the occupant putting their key card in the "slot." A mini bar should be an exception to this practice. We brought this to the attention of the staff and they pointed out that there were also cold drinks available in the lobby. By the next morning, our room had not cooled much at all. We believe the AC was not capable adequately cooling the room since adjusting the thermostat did not improve matters. We did not want to return again to a hot room, so we elected to forego housekeeping for one day by hanging the "Do Not Disturb" sign out. Then we put a fake key card in the slot and left the AC running all day. When we returned, our room was still not very cool, but it was much better than it was our first night. In addition, we also found the lighting in the room and bathroom to be insufficient.
