After having walked off the Bibblemun Track it was a lovely surprise to being greeted to wonderful friendly greeting and a free drink. Such a large place and really great pancakes ( unlimited amount!!!) Each morning....great squishy chairs to sink in the lounge and a vast amount of books and DVDs . Loved staying there and highly recommend. Close to all eateries and many local attractions.

Sian the receptionist was probably the sweetest person I have ever met. Made sure my son and I knew where everything was, showed us around and gave us nice tips on where to dine. The place is much nicer than I expected from a backpackers, but still not a hotel by any means. For a day or two it is fine. The breakfast that was included was good.

Room is large enough and comfortable. The hostel is at the CBD and within few minutes of walking distance to nearby amenities thus makes it really convenient for food and groceries. Free onsite car park is a plus.

Nice friendly hostel for a short stay in Albany. Good location with lots of restaurants nearby and lots of outdoor activities. Hostel, although good overall, needs some updating but staff were lovely.
Perfect. Was extremely comfortable and such a warm welcoming place to be. Thankyou Cami and all 1849 crew...i will be back!!! Miss it so much already!
