Pleasant surroundings and quiet. Room was bigger than i anticipated, and room cleaning service very good. The cleaner thoughtfully provided an alternative to the badly stained and rickety chair provided in the room. Bed comfortable but room stuffy. I could have asked for a fan but really there ought to be one provided as standard. Tea coffee and water provision good.

Reception staff very unwelcoming. Felt like I was imposing on them rather than being a valued guest. An awful palaver was made over a very simple request to take an early morning breakfast bag on the day of check out. I was told to pick it up the night before at the nearby restaurant at a specific time, but when i made a special effort to do this, the bag was not ready. It would be delivered within the hour but it didnt appear. After this i went back and told the staff to forget about it, but much later in the evening - after going to bed - it appeared at the door clearly as an afterthought.. I think there might be a bad disconnect between the hotel staff and the people who work in the kitchen. Bathroom extractor fan very noisy and annoying; it took an age to stop after turning off the light. Bathroom toiletries woefully inadequate. Cannot understand why for the prices the customer pays such shoddy and cheapjack toiletries are provided. Again asking for more of the tiny pods of body wash should not be necessary.

ONLY negative was for my room, ( 16 ) you got no Wi-Fi service, you saw one bar and then it disappeared, so maybe that room is right on the boundary as in other locations the service appeared fine... But this really was the only thing I would look to improve
